Important that we give credit for our opening partnership of 72 in the second innings too, by far the highest opening partnership of a game in which the new ball did a lot of damage. Our openers have (rightly) got some criticism before this but another poor start in the second innings could really have set us on a path to defeat.

There's been several games now (Surrey, Yorkshire and Glamorgan spring to mind) where our openers have outperformed the oppositions openers.
