No Lintott is a surprise, nice to see Wylie given a go.

you're definitely the expert on infinite repetition of the same thing

No, that is someone claiming to be a specialist batsman with a white ball average of 3.5 this season.

Surprised to see Wylie batting 3 but will always support one of our own being given a proper opportunity.

Pleased to see Wylie settle down after an incredibly nervous looking start. Fair play.

I didn't see it but good work Theo to overcome that nervy start. I think that's the right position, having said that though, not sure he's a player who comes in and scores with tempo straight away, whereas Kai, Garton and Davies probably can later in the innings. Best to give him a bit of time to settle.

Solid contributions from all the batsmen so far including Highvelds mate Davies.

exactly, thats what this comp should (within reason) be for, give him plenty of time to settle in and build an innings, much better than him coming in and trying to manage a total/bat with the tail or whatevr

Deceleration looks like it’ll leave us under par. Scores but no big contribution and no one there to “cash in” at the death. Will need to bowl well.

I always thought OHD had a potential 'finishers' role in him and his late blizzard of boundaries merely confirms what I always knew

i hope he's banging Westwood's door down to put him up the order after that 'entertaining cameo'

Yes but a very handy 19 off the last 7 balls helps.

Seemed as soon as anyone tried to accelerate, they got out. I've only watched about 5 overs in two little spells but the pitch looked OK, wonder if it was just a little harder to bat on than expected or at least it required some graft and application. Could yet be a good score.

Northants have been quite lucky so far.

It’s a shame Garlick wasn’t playing at the same time as Onions and Mustard.

But there’s (Michael) Pepper and (Phil) Salt to join him on the menu.

Very tight this, they're almost exactly mirroring our innings. What doesn't re-assure is we still need to fiddle some overs out of someone here and it seems like they have taken a liking to Yates and, for one over, to Jani... Wonder how Wylie's ticker is!
