Yes think Notts v Leics looks a nailed on draw now which is fine.
Leicestershire have avoided the follow on.
Leicestershire with a last wicket partnership have avoided the follow-on and Notts at some point will have to use up overs to set a target if they want to. Maybe bat for 20 overs and set Leicestershire maybe 280 in 55 but the visitors are still batting.

Reminds me of a game at Northampton in 1991 where Northants looked odds on to follow-on and Donald was busting his gut to get that last wicket but Roberts and Cook put on 85, used up loads of time and we had to try and set a target but ran out of time, had we the chance to make them follow-on we could possibly have won. We finished 2nd that season after the 'Skullduggery Bank Holiday' games between Lancashire and Essex.
Tom Scriven seems to make decent lower order runs fairly often.
Yeah every time I've seen Scriven he's looked like a proper bat. Surprised he doesn't bat higher more consistently. I watched about half an hour and now seems impossible for them to find a path to a win. They end up one point above us which makes it a shootout for second. Five points to rein in Somerset seems a lot though is just the difference between a win and a draw. Notts seem like a better and more mature team than Soms now but it's all pretty close between the three of us.
For all the posturing we heard after last weekend from Notts fans saying they were denied victory because of the amount of play that was lost, they have had 40+ overs trying to separate these 2. The commentator yesterday put a few people right by saying that the intensity last Sunday had gone because with a day left, the chances of a result had gone and we would have got our heads down more if there had been more time left. Had there been a full 4 days, the same thing wouldn't have happened as science will tell you, exactly the same thing can't happen if the circumstances are different. Our last 3 games don't look too bad but I hope the weather allows for full play so whomever wins the title can say it was done on merit.

Looking at those averages you can see a story of one star performer with bat and one with ball with an awful lot of work shared around. Look at the amount of batsmen averaging in the 30s and the amount of bowlers with 12-18 wickets.

Amid this congested and rushed bunch of fixtures, pretty good we managed a 3 day (two and a half day, really) win. Day off and relatively low workload for the bowlers.

Ironically by losing in three days and only bowling once, Glamorgan bowlers have had a similarly low workload. Somerset scored quickly so they only bowled 10 more overs than us and didn't bowl after day 2!
