It's a strange one, we've got 4 guys (Sibley, Hain, Lamb, Burgess) averaging over 45. Well in excess of 45 in some cases. But the guys out of form seem are seriously out of form, like barely contributing. Whereas last season we had 8 or 9 guys all averaging 32-36.
And we've got it majorly wrong at the toss again.
Headingley, when the clouds are in, is a massive bowl first ground. We saw that when we went up there last season. Happens at international level too, India got shoved in last year and got rolled for like 70 or something.
We've done it to ourselves!
Agreed its messed Yates up dropping him down to shoehorn Davies in. 900 runs and 5 tons opening, he should of stayed as opener.
Lamb getting tough runs again, feels a surprise whenever he gets out.
Absolutely, can't blame the lad, great opportunity for him.
I mean Jacob Bethell has had a relationship with Warwickshire since he was about 14, he originally came to the UK for educational purposes. He's come through the Warwickshire academy and played age group cricket with us.
Simmons though, we've nicked a player here.
Encouraging from a Bears perspective. Terrible to see this talent drain in West Indies cricket keep happening though.
Yorkshire away.
Can do a bit up there if the clouds are in...
Harry Brook is scoring loads. Assume Root be playing again?
Any changes? Norwell in?
Oh for sure. Just feel his wicket tally slightly flatters him.
Id like to see Yates back opening. 5 tons from there last season then moved down to 3. Hmm...
I know what you mean about Briggs, I feel like his figures this season have flattered him a bit.
The average blasters
Nice to see the batters being greedy. Hain and Lamb are in great form.
He's just so solid. I love the way he ticks over without you noticing, look up at the scoreboard and he's got 40 and you think "how's he done that?!".
Very professional effort today from Sibley, Rhodes and Lamb. Epic from Sam Hain.
Well signing dodgy openers from Lancs won't be helping when it comes to making room for talented youngsters.
I feel Rob Yates will be Bears captain eventually.
18 years old, in his 2nd First Class game right now, has played 8 List A games, 3 T20's. Has a Hundred ball contract.
He'll finish this season having played a fair bit I reckon and he'll still only be 18, we ain't gotta rush him.
He's still doing his A Levels too.
Davies is really 'chancey' isn't he...
I'm not just saying it because we're behind in the game but this is really boring.
My pre season prediction was for us to finish 5 or 6.
I'd be delighted with that at the moment!

Is how I'd go. I appreciate Rhodes up to 3 might be odd but he has gone up there before.
