I just don't think England are very keen on Warwickshire players. Remember when they originally picked Rob Key etc over Bell initially. Look how long it took Woakes to get a proper go. Further back 1994 treble winning side, not one Warwickshire player made the Ashes tour that winter.

Now here we are again!

Hain's strike rate in T20 the past couple of years in around 140, thats elite.

Grafted against a good attack for 4/5 hours then lose 6 for 16. I'm more annoyed about this than i was Friday!

Them shots from Rhodes and particularly Lamb were so bad it was scarcely believable.

Inspection at half 4

Yes appears we're gonna look to go with Bethell, Mousley, Lamb and Yates as the spin options. It's a great opportunity for them.

Agreed, however he may well of being released at the end of the season anyway so it would have felt cruel to stand in his way of getting a new deal elsewhere now.

He did get his chances, however he was a touch limited with both bat and particularly ball. Despite this he could very well go on to have a decent county career still.

Game 9! Change the title, it will mess with my ocd otherwise!

Big game this. 4day games during the Blast group stage can throw up some wild passages of play and outcomes.

We owe Durham one. Agree that If we can win, or even just draw well, we have a real good chance of finishing in the top 2.

Yes Stokes available you'd think. Sibley available, Yates back.

Sibley
Rhodes
Yates
Malan
Hain
Burgess
Bresnan
Briggs
Miles
Norwell
OHD

Case for Malan missing out?! Lamb could well come in for Malan or a bowler (Brez?).

Joins Derbyshire permanently. Good luck Alex.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Carlos has covid

I see Hain's been roped into this rubbish now. Replacement player for somebody.

Same squad, we go again.

Can we do the quadruple over Notts?!

Agreed. Terrific news that he's signed an extension, bad news about the injury. He'll be back though, so much potential and he has an insatiable will to win.

We'd be crazy to give up on Kelley at aged 18, wouldn't hurt to give him another year or 2 to see how he develops. He's not been playing or keeping because he's been injured.

Bit of a let down? Na, always good to give Yorkshire a doing.

That was so easy it was scarcely believable. All done and dusted in under 2 hours!

Pleased to see us go back of a length up front and nick a couple off with them fending off the back foot. It's aggressive tactics and they work on pitches like this, other sides have been doing it to us. Good in the field again, Lamb's catch was particularly good, it was always going away from him, his fielding has really improved. Couldn't imagine anybody but Michael Burgess behind the stumps for us these days. Pleased for Hose, he needed that, he kept his shape better tonight.

Back on track, we're good again, crisis over!

Big game this, hoping for a performance.

Yeah that's fair. I think we've had moments go against us in both games, we've also created our own problems at times. I maintain that Ben Raine catch was a total 1 in a million catch though. And at a really crucial time.

It's all subjective but I think we bowled so poorly up front against Derby that realistically the game was gone before the PP was even over. We had a glimmer when we got them 5 down but it was all too brief.

Against Durham we bowled really well up front, bowled to a plan of having a man out on the hook and it worked. I liked our aggression. However at the death we were appalling, I haven't tried to defend that at all in my post further up or call it unlucky. To ship 20 runs when bowling at numbers 9 and 10 is unforgivable.

Good info, thanks. Fingers crossed its not as bad as rumoured.

OK I'll spell it out...Im referring to the overseas players we sign specifically for the T20 comp.
