To echo what's been previously said, he looks like a bit of a 'bits and pieces' cricketer in red ball at the moment, he can give you some ok overs, he's probably not good enough to bat in the top 5 but he's a nice player to have coming in at 6 or 7 so...

Feel like the Hundred hinders him, feel like he'd benefit hugely from batting in the top 4 for us in the ODC and building an innings. Instead he goes the Hundred, faces a few balls and barely bowls...

Having said this he has huge potential and he he does strike me as the sort of player who once he does get that first ton might get on a bit of a roll.

Seems to get out bowled or LBW a lot which suggests that if you just bowl straight at him he'll miss one.

He's down the pecking order for our 4day side for now though...

Agree with you Andy that the 100 has hindered him though I think in a different way. He has bowled in that with some success, with death 75mph seam-up darts. And it's that which has damaged his batting.

He was already doing that for us though in the Blast. Just everybody knows about it now because he did it in the Hundred.

Yeah true. But seemed his batting dropped off with that higher profile. Definitely true overall that 100 was a hindrance. I guess the shortness of the format makes it hard for any below top 4.

Dan might not have done much with the bat, but his bowling is making a difference. Very economical - 15 overs, 2 for 46 at the moment.

Dan was the seventh bowler used (out of nine).
There's a whiff of nepotism about the team selection - sons of Mike Atherton, Dale Benkenstein and Neil Killeen and James Rew's brother plus there is another of the Curran clan in the Zimbabwe side.

100 for Mousley in the second innings. Well done, young man.
I'm not sure if this game qualifies as "first class" but, if so, that's a maiden century.

Yes I'm not sure if it's first class because, according to Cricinfo, both teams have 13 players, 11 batting and 11 fielding.

Not first class. Sometimes they are, these games, but not this one.

It is classed as an "Unofficial Test Match". Good for Dan to get a ton against an international bowling attack. Hopefully he will kick on in his career because he is such a talented player.

Mousley 2-46 in both innings.
I suppose they can call it an "unofficial Test Match" if they want to; but it was really just a practice match for the tourists.

Well done to Dan for his hundred and 4 wickets in the match, let's hope he can kick on from here especially in red ball cricket.

Has brought up his maiden first class century batting for England Lions versus India A. Congratulations, Dan.

Brilliant stuff. He looks to have hit some good form.

Congratulations to Dan, though apparently, Cricket Archive are saying that the match is not first class (but others are saying that it is - the jury is out and the world holds its breath).

Indeed, I was wondering if FC status myself. With the Zim game not being FC Dan could have been robbed of some good numbers here. In any case, I think this time with England should do him some good. It seems to be he is focusing on his batting which I think will do him a lot of good.

Both cricinfo and live stream commentary are calling it first class.

Cricket Archive seem to be out of line on this. The ACS (Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians) are on the case.
There are probably a few bowlers playing in the match who would quite like their figures not to be added to their first-class record.

The game v Zim was a 13 v 13 job
