OHD also and they've seen sense by not persisting with Sylvester.
Why the need to celebrate Pride Month?? Rainbow laces indeed!! Welcome to woke cricket!!
Please tell me that last comment was a joke. Pleeeeaaaase.
*Also why does it say I joined this site in 2021, it was 2010, not long after the CB40 Final.

The original Bearsfans site closed down so Exiled Bear (with some slight help from me) set up the new site in 2021, hence the date of joining.
No Paul it was not a joke. I just question why a cricket match that welcomes everyone should be celebrating a parade for a section of the community. Don't accuse me of any phobia, though. The Pride movement has achieve a lot in removing at least 90% of the prejudice that existed not so long ago. A gay couple who have been our friends for a number of years expressed their view they are against these pride marches etc. and were totally against all this rainbow stuff. I could go on to say why do we not have a heterosexual support celebration or a disabled persons support month?
Your second point - is this the date you joined the new unofficial forum?
I agree I’m afraid. I’m not in the least bit phobic but isn’t it being discriminatory by having a rainbow day. As LE says, let’s have a disabled day etc etc. if I was in a gay relationship I’d be a tad embarrassed by it, as are several of my friends who are gay.
Mousley and Hassan are massive returns.
Mousley’s bowling is really reliable in this format, aggressive with the bat and he’s an excellent fielder.
I’d go with:
Davies
Ali
Hain
Latham
Barnard
Mousley
Smith
Garton
Ali
Briggs
Miles
7 bowling options (if Garton bowls), batting ability down to 9.
I think they will go with this or alternatively Lintott for Miles (a lot of emphasis was placed on spin in blast last year).
With regard the pride branding. Yeah, it's a bit over-the-top but literally every corporate does it. The more people do it the easier it is to ignore and it totally passes me by these days. Doesn't really have any effect on the majority of us.

We won the toss and chose to bowl.
"You can take the boy out of Atherstone, but you can never take Atherstone out of the boy !"
"The Bears and the (footballing) Foxes for ever !"
Well that run out was definitely out - not sure how the umpire didn't give it
I have a great idea - Lets open up with seam in cloudy conditions, cause problems for the opening pair and then switch to spin to allow them to crack the ball all over the place. We can wait until they have their eye in and then switch back to pace........brilliant captaincy
Good comeback. That take by Davies down the leg side for the 4th wicket was excellent.
Thankfully Yorkshire have thrown away 4 wickets!
Some abysmal batting has allowed us to tighten things right up here
Shame Garton didn't get a 2nd over early on after a pretty good opener.
Thank god Yorkshire are rubbish.
Up there with one of the worst batting collapses I’ve seen from such a strong position.
Some iffy captaincy up until the collapse, some odd field settings and bowling changes.
Hopefully we don’t do a Yorkshire, but Latham and Davies look to be handling this comfortably.
It appears it bacame difficult to get the ball away after around14 /15 overs. But at least we got over the line.

Well that was better, although because I thought their batting was light on looking at their line-up, I wasn't therefore shocked at the collapse. At one time I thought 190+ but they gifted some wickets. Very pleased that we didn't give catching practice again, the discipline of keeping the ball on the ground early on until you have a good look at the bowling. Very small crowd and I know it wasn't warm but the forecast got it right with no rain but that must be one of the smallest I have seen. Enjoyed the Bears women, Laura Harris is some hitter, no let up from her, she sees it and gives it a good whack with superb timing, just a pity she's not English.
