Is there a live stream for this game?

I eventually made contact at the end of 6th over. Good to see Garton succeed at the end of the innings. A pretty decent score in the end.

Not bad in the power play - Bears 60-0 Falcons 41-4.

Madsen gone, surely that is THE big blow. Whiteley is still there but never scores quickly enough to win games, only 6 50's in 228 T20 games and only a strike rate of only 136.

Good job Hasan didn't take 4 in 4 because I am not sure how you can top his last celebration,

Good win, the team is starting to take shape but still a few things need to sort out.

Mousley seems a bit out of form with bat (strangely) and ball.

Lintott is struggling too.

Good to see Garton do well and hope he can maintain it. The two Alis and Briggs the only consistent bowlers.

I agree about Jake, he is struggling in the Blast. He has bowled better in 2nds red ball this season (but never gets a chance for the 1sts). After 4 games, I'd rest him, perhaps give Taz a chance (if he's fit, he picked up a little niggle a couple of weeks ago).
Dan M does need a couple more games to get his (Blast) eye in (again, he's been doing better in red ball recently). At least Rob Yates showed last week for the 2nds, that he got some white ball form back - and I'm sure he'd come in, if Mousley doesn't pick up.
I'm pleased for George - 5 catches, as well as a couple of good overs. And Briggs is bowling MUCH better than he has for the 2nds. It's very strange that players are doing better now, in formats they've not shown form this season.

I don't really think 2's form has much bearing on first team readiness at all. There's been numerous examples, not just recently, of a player being almost non existent in the 2nd team then getting a 1st team chance and doing well. Look at Zen Malik, no runs whatsoever in the 2's, hits the ground running in the 1's.

Feel like Garton was still a little wayward, he can definitely bat though, I've said this previously. He has good technique and times the ball.

I actually thinks Mousley looks in good nick, nature of his dismissals looks a tad unlucky. However, and I've said this for a while, he's nowhere near as good on the sweep as he maybe thinks he is. Its a good option to score but he makes his best scores when he plays a bit straighter.

Moeen Ali's timing looked way off then all of a sudden he'd absolutely lace one over long on. Class.

Extremely strong win today, much better than Friday when I felt it looked like 2 poor teams playing, we were good today, in all aspects of the game.

A lot of good points up the feed. I watched a fair bit of todays game, only really surprised it wasn't an even bigger win as there was plenty that could have been improved on. First good look I've had of Garton and impressed at all parts of his game and agree he could be a fraction tighter. Could have said this about all the bowlers though, as someone said the Ali's and Briggs were the only consistently accurate bowlers.

Batting a similar story, but we did lose wickets at some pretty inopportune times, ie both Davies and Latham when accelerating, Hain just after two dominant boundaries and then the two in two in the penultimate over. Nae bother though, improve a little bit more and we could have a very serious side going on there and it's balanced well. Gleeson to come, I presume, but who does he come in for? I suspect he is 12th at the moment. Bethell up top would be a great addition too but think he might well miss the lot this year.

I was sat at the perfect angle behind Garton's arm, he was absolutely hooping the ball, no wonder they couldn't get a bat on him when he landed it right, really violent swing at a decent 80+mph pace. all of a sudden, a great cameo with the bat, a couple of very smart catches and a good spell with the ball, hopefully that will give him (and his captain) a lot of confidence going forward.

Davies played the kind of innings I had him marked down to play when we first signed him from Lancs, very very good at deflecting the ball square-ish. over his last two good innings at home I don't think he has scored anything down the ground at all, a six over cow is as straight as he has got. To me, for him the problem is against spin, he isn't the power player type to just smash them over cow or down the ground, and he hasn't really got the sweep/reverse sweep, so if he survives the power play he will need his partner to take the reins in terms of the scoring rate

perhaps not coincidentally Lathan was/seems to be much more aggressive vs spin than pace, so it is almost like they have that as a part of their plans, davies goes at the seamers and Latham at the spinners, as Latham has got both the reverse sweep and the big slog sweep in his locker.

nice bit of tactical clarity from either the players or management there, IMO.

agree Lintott really seems to be struggling to get his lines in particular right

Not seen any news but since it was reported as hamstring, I suspect it could be a while before he's fit.

Administrator - can we please have an up/down tick facility? Posts 17 and 18 made me laugh.

About the game - that hat trick celebration was so great to see - as was said what would he have done if it became 4 in a row.

LE, never mind the game, Gerry and I would love to hear how we are creating, 'Comedy Gold'.
