Despite our grumbling earlier, I think we're actually well-placed now. On the assumption we don't fall apart and lose here we'll gain ground on Somerset ahead and Durham and Hampshire should be further away below. This morning is a demonstration of why not to the Kook in UK though. Lose any time to the weather and it's a draw. There could have been more results today with full days across the country.

According to the BBC, the 328 balls Rocchiccioli sent down was the most in an innings by a Warwickshire bowler since Ashley Giles bowled 68.3 overs against Yorkshire at Headingley in 1996.

Can I applaud you for spelling the Aussie lad's name correctly and in full? Were you using cut and paste?

Is this ball being used for the rest of this round of fixtures? Quite fancied going later in July but if it’s going to be like this I don’t think I’ll bother. Watching a high scoring draw is not the most enthralling.

When they cut the July four day games games out of the schedule they will use all these draws as a reason...

Bore draw. Still think the oppo have shown a better seam attack than ours again though. That pitch had pace and carry and our lads looked a bit pedestrian compared to theirs. All our batters got time at the crease which is good.

A word on Rocky. I've enjoyed him the past 2 games, clearly a very skillful and thoughtful cricketer. How good is it to see an overseas player show genuine enthusiasm for the game and his team. He gives plenty of encouragement to his teammates and genuinely seems to appreciate the opportunity he has been given here. He's enjoying himself. Was impressed watching him observe and study the pitch conditions during intervals and breaks too. He clearly loves it.

He is impressive and I like an overseas player with enthusiasm and the ability to embrace playing the game rather than just going through the motions.

As a bowler and as an overseas player, a worthy successor to Jeetan Patel. Let’s hope he can come back.

Fair play to Corey to put in a shift like that. He has been a great addition. He genuinely loves playing cricket and I'd like to see him stay on for the ODC and come back for all formats next season.

Mike Taylor on comms quoted OHD as saying Corey is a Steve Smith style cricket badger
