And no Moeen Ali! It's starting to look like a really decent squad we have now for the Blast.
Wonder who he comes in for...Latham?
Great news that Bethell is back for the Pears match. He is a big occasion player. Surely he comes in for Yates.
Bethell for Yates is the obvious change, and makes the team stronger. Latham is an experienced, high quality international player, it would be a mistake to omit him.
Latham may be a high quality international player but he has done nothing in a Bears' shirt. Personally I would play Yates as opener with Davies and have Bethell in for Latham.
I wouldn't say Latham has done nothing but he's a bit of a passenger in the field and his last 4 t20 innings have gone 6, 2, 23, 8.
It's a close call.
I think Bethell will come in for Miles or Gleeson (if he needs a rest again) - possible team:
Davies
Latham
Mousley
Hain
Bethell
Barnard
Yates
Garton
H Ali
Briggs
Gleeson/Miles

This is the side id go with. 3 front line seamers and 1 spinner and then you have Mousley Bethall and Barnard

I think he'll come in for Miles. Gleeson, Yates & Latham will stay. 4 seamers, Yates, Mousley & Bethell, spin back up for Briggs.

Indeed Bethell in for Yates, Yates was originally in for Moeen and Bethell for Mo is a like-for-like. Yates needs to stay close to the squad though, He will need to sub in for Latham when the latter goes to NZ international duty. Good to see England have finally released Bethell. The hawks are circling with Crawley in the test team and Jacob could stand in here (though unlikely to open) but overall Bethell's next international duty is likely to be the England September white ball games so good to get a tune up now, ahead of the 100.
EDIT - indeed, we still need Yates in the side or not enough batsmen. Either way, good to have Jacob back!

Looking at those scores I would say he hardly justifies his place in the side. I still maintain Yates would do better - I can't see him being worse.
Mate, I'm agreeing with you.
So Bethell is in for Yates. Only change.
Isaac Mohammed opening for them. What are the odds on him getting a few?! Him, Hose & Brookes!
Worcester won the toss and put us in.

No sound on the Worcestershire stream?
Sound is now working.
Latham on the other hand, not so much. I think it's time for him to be dropped.

I won't say I told you so but I'm missing Yates!!
Like I say, I agree, look further up, I suggested the Latham dropping.
Another poor shot from Davies, you cant be cutting at good deliveries like that
The pitch looks like it is giving us problems early on
Worcs keeping Taylor on who has looked dangerous
