has anyone else noticed how often Briggs gets wickets with the delivery immediately after he has been hit for a boundary, often with the batsmen trying to repeat the same shot? batsmen after all these years and wickets still don't seem to be able to work out that even if they think he's feeding them the same delivery again, he probably isn't!

Those who were complaining about the below par total need to have a word with George Garton and put him right because he said: "We got up to a total that was a little bit above par."

The commentators said the same last night, that 170 was par and a winning score if you bowl well.

Interesting comments regarding par score. Viewing through a laptop (an expert's view!) and the way we were scoring it really did look as if we should have got 20/30 more runs and the reason we didn't was through losing wickets. One big example was Hain getting out at the start of what is usually the last 5 overs onslaught - had that not happened I wonder what score we might have got.

I never thought it was a below par total, just the same old people booting the boot in on us again.

Garton's batting ability has never been in question, i still think he's a good way off in 4day cricket though. Fair play to him.for hanging on in there this season though, hopefully he's peaked at the right time.

A very proficient all round performance, helped by some very odd batting by the Pears. They certainly didn’t make good use of the power play and apparently faced 63 dot balls!
Good to see GG perform well. Cracking catch by Latham at the end too. Still some frustrations with the openers but that aside, perhaps we have finally discovered the optimum T20 team this year.
