This has gone from poor to embarrassing. The team looks so short of confidence
Pitch has become a minefield
A message for Alex Davies, if you have any respect for the club you resign as captian now.
That was, yet another totally inappropriate shot for his dismissal.

Think there was a decent amount in it yesterday too just that once again the opposition bowlers have a bit more in the tank than ours do.
I get it's been bad and whose fault it is - but what's actually happening? Is it just Shazad getting a lot out of the new ball?
1) good bowling
2) poor shot selection
3) pressure on the team due to the abysmal brainless captancy allowing Worcester to get significantly more runs than they should
4) Scoreboard pressure
5) Mediocre players allowed to fail consitantly and not be replaced in the team.

The dismissals in isolation look bad, they are bad, but yes they've bowled really well. Thought OHD and Bamber were good with the new ball yesterday, but Taylor and Shahzad just seem to have a bit more menace and are a touch quicker which has made a difference.
Their tailenders spend nearly 2 hours at the crease. Our top three can't manage half an hour!!
Mousley really struggles batting at 3 in four day cricket, i really think it would be best for him to move down the order and bat at 6 or 7. I think Malik is a more responsible batter so either give him or Shaikh a run at 3.
I would also like to see Simmons given a run over the last few games of the season, as an opening bowler not 5th or 6th change at 2.30 in the afternoon.
This is, by my mind, only the 2nd time he's batted 3 in 4day cricket?
Well this 4th wicket partnership has now doubled the score!
I agree with all the comments about Davies captaincy. It’s something I’ve commented on since he started. He rotates by numbers, he follows the ball and is very defensive. The failure to declare At Worcester revealed a lack of thought about the game.
My own hope is Woakes might be captain next year which would energise the Club!

The captaincy this morning was worse than abysmal, it wouldn't be acceptable in a club 4th xi side, as this is meant to be one of the leadingg first class sides in the country.
The position of Davies has now become totally untenable, and change is needed now.
I have to agree that was awful stuff from Davies. Felt like we'd given up and just handed them an extra 30 runs.
Take a listen to Dermott Reeves views on the captaincy in this and the Somerset game on thus mornings radio commentary
Come on young Kai, give us an innings to remember.
What a fiasco today has proved to be. Very difficult to fathom the tactics this morning, and that last over from Mousely was more than embarrassing. The entire morning session was utterly shambolic, and I can only blame the Captain for that, he's got to go!
Does anyone know why Sam Hain isn't playing? Is he injured? What about Simmons? Nothing that I can see on the club's website, but that's nothing new....
Webster looks class and a brilliant innings from Kai thus far, best he's looked since Durham away.
How pathetic has today been? Possibly the weakest opponents in the Division and the Bears collapse like a deck of cards. Oh, of course, a great move to get rid of Ethan Brookes! He seems to be getting better and better for the Pears. Personally, I don't think either Westwood or Davies are good enough for a County the size of Warwickshire. We need winners at the top to take the club forward.
Very poor day, unfortunately had too many like this.

Agree on all points but at least we saved the follow on. Well done Kai Smith.
It is unfair to blame Ian Westwood, he was appointed very late, in the off season. Probably too late and has not had the time to implement the much needed changes and all his own ideas.
The captaincy and poor performance by the top order was to blame yet again, but when the captain is, consitantly, getting out to the wrong shot for the game situation, how can you expect the others to perfrom well, especially when mediocrity is rewarded and some players never face the consequences of thier under performance?
