It's been an excellent innings from Malik, he has played a responsible innings so far. Webster too has been very good, if these two can stay together for another hour then we should have a great chance of winning this match.

Well shucks, hush your mouth there. You sure is tempting fate!
Having to leave the ground now to catch a flight home..fingers crossed they see it through !

Whisper it quietly but there is probably more chance of winning than drawing.
We should never have put ourselves in this position but certainly well batted today!
Still whisper it. Let’s see what happens with the new ball!
Excellent innings and excellent partnership but why not simply carry on getting ones and twos. Hopefully all is not lost and we can still get over the line.
To be fair I can see the advantage of trying to get as many runs as possible before the new ball.

I agree. The new ball is their one chance of turning this game back around.
Have to say I'm not sure Worcestershire's captain has had a great game either! Strange to win the toss and bat in gloomy conditions and the forecast was always to have best day of weather on day 4.
And then today the field placings have seemingly all been about stopping runs rather than taking wickets.
New ball has brought about two slips though.
Awful shot from Barnard there - wide, outside off stump with the new ball and he chased it, even though he was hitting to the big boundary
Embarrassing celebration from Taylor.

Think someone shouted something from the crowd before he bowled but couldn't hear what was said?
An excellent innings by Zen Malik, a second century in his first season, shows he could become a regualar member of the team.
The 50 over cup will be a big opportunity for him.

I figured it must have been something like that. Still, as a pro you’ve surely got to just ignore these things.

Good point - although as it turned out not needed - some excellent batting.
That is a pretty spectacular win after being behind in the game for basically all but the last two sessions!
Exceelent from Webster and Smith to get through to the total. An excellent game of cricket that was entertaing and competitive all the way.
After today Smith and Malik should be told they are in the championship team for the rest of the season, and we should be trying to get webster to agree to return next season.
However. there are still issues that need to be addressed, and changes made to make the club and team stronger going forwards.
Great win from an awful first 3 days
Webster and Rocky for next year please !
This was all down to our middle order however, it's time for change in captaincy
Well, ** me sideways, who saw that coming after an awful day 2. Webster has had a habit of going too hard at the ball at certain times but held himself back today and it paid off. A great signing but also someone who could get under England's skin in the next few years. Malik, very mature and pity Mousely didn't get a ton because he kept it going this morning.
We've played some poor cricket at times this year but we've also played some gritty, determined cricket - a la today
Great to look back at the comments for Worcestershire yesterday on the BBC Cricket site, you would think they were home and dry. I will enjoy to the max, the gloating I will do if any of them dare to go back on and type some more, it is doubtful.
It's highly unlikely given our general form in the CC this season but we could still win the title!
18 points behind first and still have to play the top two (Surrey and Notts).
