On the old forum there used to be plenty of debate about Leics Derbys and Northants with some suggesting there should be a merger because they are not good enough.

Well Leicestershire have gained promotion so a short trip to Grace Road to follow Warks is something to look forward to.

Yep that’s the local derby for me!

And I remember exactly who used to say that on the old forum LOL

LeicesterExile, if you are exiled, doesn't that mean you cannot venture to any games between both sides. Just saying seeing as we have not found out the reason for you being exiled, there must be a salacious reason unless it is to do with high espionage.

Paul - nothing so dramatic - work was the reason over 50 years ago. I am still a Brummie and can honestly say I have never said me duck to anyone. The one big downside to living in this county is they just don't understand our sarcastic humour - I am still frowned upon after all these years! Perhaps Bosworth Bear would agree with me!!

Work, bloody work, I gave that up last November and thought, "All that time off, loads of cricket.." but alas, rain, very dull CC games and missing the odd game for family reasons has seen me watching fewer days than when I was working. Agree about the sarcasm, I love it even when I am the victim of it.

Not sure about that. The main issue living in the borderlands is the batch v cob debate. Which county you are from is instantly identifiable!

Growing up in Atherstone, always meant I was torn between 2 sporting Counties, but a trip to Edgbaston in 1965 and one to Filbert Street in 1966, sorted it - for a lifetime. It has been SO long to have chance for seeing 'proper' cricket between my favourite and second favourite teams, I for one will look forward to it. Well done, the CRICKETING Foxes!

It would be nice if they could stay up and not go back down seeing as we are losing Worcestershire again which is very selfish of them seeing as we are usually guaranteed CC wins against them.
