Just for fun who would people like to see go down with Worcestershire?

I'll go with Hampshire.

Other candidates - Durham, Yorkshire, Sussex, Essex.

On a more serious note, a likely 4th place for us is better than most predicted in April. Question is how we make the next step.

Hampshire are probably due a relegation. They peaked around COVID but obvs Essex, then us and since then Surrey stopped them winning the title and they've been in a bit of decline last couple of years.

I'm pleased for Westwood as we probably have overachieved first season but in terms of where the club is it's a bit of a treading water season. Flat pitches for Westy's first season I hope we can be bolder next season and take games to the opposition more. An opening bat to properly challenge Yates now I think I've been a big fan of Yates but he needs to start churning out big scores and we need to find another Hain. Not sure Mousely is there and juries out on Hamza I hope he can do it next season

Not really bothered. Curious to watch Durham struggling. They recruited heavily in readiness for this season. Just shows recruitment isn't the be all and end all.

Suppose Hampshire and Durham are nightmare away games in terms of travel time so either of those probably. I've no issue with Sussex or Yorkshire and enjoy Hove and Headingley/Scarborough/York.

It doesn't affect Warwickshire though so...

I would be happy to see Hampshire go down, they have been really lucky with 2 of their T20 titles and would have been relegated in 2016 after losing to Durham but Durham were relegated after financial irregularities in their place and at the time, Kent questioned it quite rightly, saying Hampshire should still be relegated as they hadn't done enough to stay in division 1 and that Kent after finishing only slightly below the 2 promoted sides, should get the final division 1 place. Rob Bransgrove was always trying to pump money into the club to buy a Test match every year and moaned like a child when Hampshire were not given Tests every year. Also, I am still pissed off at the way they denied us the 2011 CC title by playing out of their skins on the last day against us yet managing to lose 9 wickets in a session v Lancashire with some insipid schoolboy batting in the penultimate game before they played us.

Just a mention for our rivals and neighbours Worcestershire - relegated but winner of the One Day Cup with a star performance from Ethan Brookes.

Delighted that Ethan has found his place with the Pears, for whatever reason he didn’t seem to be considered a run whilst here.
