Yes, great news! He may be a Yorkie by birth but he's now a Bear through and through.

According to a table published by the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians, Oliver Hannon-Dalby's innings against Surrey has broken the record for the longest time without scoring (minutes, not balls received) at the start of an innings in County cricket. He beats the 79 minutes of Jack Simmons for Lancashire against Yorkshire in 1969,

At 94 minutes, he is 7th on the list for all first-class cricket.
Top of the list at 120 minutes is SB Joshi for Baroda v Bengal at Eden Gardens, Kolkata in 2005/06.

Olly has improved so much these last few seasons. An excellent bowler now, so consistent. Well deserved contract extension.

He's so much better than when he joined us. I remember he would never get near our four day team initially but is now one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Surely well deserved.

Great video posted by the club of OHD training this off season. Doing some accuracy drills, on length especially.
Posted a similar thing with Craig Miles.

From just a brief clip Stuart Barnes definitely seems to be very precise in his work. Seemingly from the same school as Graham Welch, that bowling is good and players need to be bowling fit.

Good news that, in the profile on the Club website, Olly says:
“I’m by no means thinking of retiring in the next year or two. Hopefully there are lots more wickets to come. I’m loving playing, loving running in at Edgbaston so want to do it for many more years.”

Olly has just been elected Chair of the PCA:

It's difficult to imagine a better choice.
Well done Olly; and well done PCA members for electing him.

Perhaps a good move for him.

Yes, given the number of seamers we've signed and the (quite rapid) dip in form for Olly in the second half of last season, it is probably the best option for him. For me (!), I would rather it not be the Pears though - I get such grief from Worcester 'friends', when an ex-Bear performs for them (Brookes last season was hard!).

One of the few Bears players who have shown heart in the club in recent years

Great shame to hear this

Quite possibly my favourite current player. Always comes across as a good bloke and I love how he worked hard to improve himself to become such an important player for us.

Glad he is going to be getting some cricket. I hope he enjoys the spell and finds a good rhythm and can come back to us in form for when the inevitable injuries and squad rotation takes place.
