Barnard’s had a pretty exceptional game so far. Enjoyed his rotation of the seamers and also led by example with his miserly spell. Really impressive.

Woakes ball to Verryenne was excellent - it sent his middle stump cart wheeling out of the ground! Excellent bowling - Booth is also looking so good......the commentators liken his action to Peter Siddle.

Just reflecting on yesterday again, it's so exciting that Michael Booth is really starting to show his abundant promise with bat and ball. Crucial and powerful runs to get us to the max batting points, fiery and aggressive with ball. Still room to improve, but he's really looking like someone with international attributes to me. Excited to see what he can offer with a run in the T20 side this season too after some impressive ODC performances last year. A stereotypical "X-factor" player.

Should have had a run out there!

Enforcing the follow on comes as a bit of a surprise but with two (hopefully) fresh new ball bowlers, a good opportunity to get stuck into Notts again. Plenty of time left in the game to get this one done.

We have enough bowlers that any one of them shouldn't get over-bowled. If we had only 4, they would be in a situation where they might have to bowl 20 in a day but short spells between 6 front line seamers, should be fine. Obviously if there is a big partnership, they will be frustrated and look weary but we have enough to force a win here.

If there's no bat that on that Woakes shout against Hameed that's plumb...

The umpiring over the past 2 games has been diabolical.

Looking flat, both the pitch and the bowling.

Very surprised to see us enforce the follow on

Felt we should have batted them out of the game and give ourselves 90 overs

I think if we had batted on, we could have been 430+ ahead easily and still had about 15 overs at them tonight. It looks a flat pitch anyway so maybe the draw might be the result that was most expected either way.

Incredible. Thompson on Hameed another close one we've not gotten.

With all the umpires we have in this country, I am not sure I agree with umpires who played for one of the counties in the game they are umpiring. I am not accusing anyone of being biased but surely that must take that out of the equation if either umpire hasn't played for any of the 2 counties.

Absolutely, alluded to it on here on day 1 re. Pollard.

We've bowled well again here, could easily be 3 down...so frustrating.

Agreed, we'll bowl a lot worse and get more reward than this at times. Not had that bit of luck you need on a batting surface. So many close calls.

There's that bit of luck! Got to be right on it now.
