Going to this one, travelling in hope more than confidence. Please don't put in an embarrassing show.

If this one is lost, 1/4 of our games will be gone in this competition and that might affect crowds which I think were down last year compared to 2024. We must start getting the confidence back that we had when finishing in a quarter-final place virtually every year.

Wonder if we go into this one with just the one spinner?

Malik is in the squad. Man in form. Surprised that Gilchrist is preferred to Bamber as the extra bowler.

We’ve lost the toss and bat first.

Same team.

2 specialist spinners at New Road feels like a gamble.

Absolutely ridiculous, that Bamber isn't in the squad, Malik isn't playing, Davies is opening and we're playing 2 spinners at New Road!

Very early impressions but the ball isn't exactly coming onto the bat, maybe the spinners will get a bit of joy? Doesn't look a great pitch.

New Road is notorious for having little pace and sometimes 2 spinners can work. I remember in the 1980's they had Illingworth and Leatherdale and loads of those horrible 'Nibbly' bowlers with no pace and often used to win with crappy scores on the board batting first.

A lot has been said about Hain not scoring quickly enough and just when he starts to look like he is 'Going For It', he has a rush of blood to the head.

There doesnt seem to be any plan at all here or

I am not even going to bother mentioning Davies. Webster threw his wicket away. Barnard couldnt wait to get himself out & then Jani does nothing to a nothing ball.

Thompson is now doing his level best to nick something and get out.

Other than that, it is all good.

At around 15 overs gone and we had 5 wickets in hand this is when you should have some quick scorers waiting to make an impact. Yates goes and just Woakes in that category to come in. Why no Malik or Kai? Why is Davies keeping his place? Very disappointed this season with selections.
