Maybe a couple of games in the 2’s will help Davies find his form. He’s fallen off a long way from 2nd highest run scorer and captain last year.
It’s good to see that no one is too big to be dropped.
I think those 2 changes are fair enough, hopefully they both go well.

I agree best use of Kai is at six. But he has been batting at 1 for the seconds and could slot straight in. It's not what we have ever asked him to do before though and think he is more natural down the order in any form of cricket.
Great first half, well batted Beau Webster and a lovely little knock at the start from Zen Malik.
We had to work bloody hard to get those 208 runs, Northants are making it look very easy.

No wonder the stadium is less than half full.
So where do we go from here? 4 games 4 defeats. In 2 of those games the batting hasn't been good enough & in the other 2 the bowling has let us down. Tariq & Thompson bowled well today but OHD & Woakes were poor, far too many easy balls for their batsman to hit to the boundary. Very disappointing indeed.

What a disappointment. But what is the point in playing Kai at 8 behind Woakes and Thompson.they would have been better off having Davies as keeper because as opener at least he may have scored half a dozen!
