Thanks I feared the opposite. That’s reassured me!

Its standard procedure, even at good quality club grounds if they don't use rolling covers, which have a big airspace above the ground.
You certainly feel that Somerset are abusing the substitute rule - today's sub, Ogborne, having himself been subbed for Ball part way through their last match. He's clearly made a very fast recovery! Be interesting to know how many substitutions they've made (esp of bowlers), I may be wrong but don't think we've done so at all yet.
Let's call it what it is, it's cheating and certain counties are abusing it. I hope Ogbourne gets hammered or told he cannot bowl any more if he keeps infringing to scuff up the pitch on a 'Jack Leach Length'.
I thought the substitution rule meant that if you’d been substituted you were then not allowed to play in the next match? If Ogbourne had been substituted in their last match then he shouldn’t be playing in this one.
They subbed out Gregory for Ball last game. Again, not really like for like.

Apologies, my mistake, but the fact remains that Somerset are making very good use of the new rule.
Two balls after the resumption for Ogborne. Warned again for running on the pitch.
Now he gets Hain, absolutely seething.
Cheating bastards, this should hopefully make us angry enough to really get stuck into these bastards.
Looks like he's limping now, sub another seamer on!
They'll probably let em sub a batter in...
The replacement player regulations can be read here
Whilst deliberaately claiming to be injured when not may occur with certain national sides, I would be surprised if that was the case in this game.
I had a look at the pitch at tea time and couldn’t see any evidence of wear outside the off stump at Ogborne’s end, which suggests the umpires are doing their job.
There is definitely something outside of off from the end Ogborne bowled from, Vaughan turned one square out what looked a bit rough. Might be something, might be nothing.
The umpires have been having a look at Ogborne's follow through, no ones doubting that, it's something the lad has struggled with in previous games.
Overton and Ball have been good all innings.
Come on lads another 50 or 60 would be great, a 150 lead and you would have to fancy us to do well.
Really do enjoy watching Manav Suthar. Always something happening when he's involved.
Thompson looks a million dollars everytime he bats, times the ball so well, then just gets out. Sounds obvious I know but it's like he plays one shot too many. Never looks out of nick or anything whether he gets 4 or 40.
