Express & Star reporting that Garton will be available to play as a batter.

It's unlikely he'd average less than one of our specialist batsmen, who should be ashamed of his 3.25 average for the competition.

ahh bugger thats a shame for Ethan, he got picked up for the 100 this year and I was hoping it would be his break-out year as an entry into franchise cricket, not sure if he'll be fit in time for the 100 with that

good for us, mind.

Think he got dropped v Notts and only played v Somerset due to Hain being absent.

Highest 2nd wicket partnership for the Bears.

This is totally an influenced view as I missed all the good stuff. But ... I started watching at 177 for 1 and from then they lost 9 wickets for under 50 runs in over five overs and the last man wasn't dressed. It was pretty unprofessional. We might win this easily but if you wanted to provide a platform for Worcester to come back strongly, that would be it.

Could do with a big win to help the net run rate

Right from when Zen got going you just felt there was only one winner tonight.

Brilliant win. Strange approach to the chase from the Pears. They seemed to give up quite early on.

I think it was said on here after our fifth loss in a row that we would have to win the next seven in a row to qualify. Well we've managed two in a row...

Unfortunately all the games between teams from our group and teams from other groups seem to be being won by the teams in our group.

True to form, a young man gets what must have been a very emotional breakthrough near-century aged like 28, after a long journey into professional cricket where he's been told he isn't good enough over and over again, and more Worcestershire players went out of their way to congratulate him on his knock than posters on this forum could stir themselves to comment on it.

I mean, I know it doesn't have the same allure of saying Davies is rubbish for the 19th time, but still.

Webster's offside driving game along the ground is absolutely brutal. I don't think I've ever seen anyone get such speed on the ball with such little backlift after he's driven it into the ground. It barely needs to be 3 yards past a man stood 30 yards away to get through. God, getting a hand on Webster's drives must be the definition of a poison chalice.

Tariq- last night was the first time i've seen him from nearer ground level to get an idea of his flight. My word but he is a cunning bugger with it. I have no clue exactly what he is doing with the flight but he's definitely doing something, on several occasions it looked like he beat his man all ends up before the ball had even pitched. They could barely hit him off the square and that wasn't just because of what the ball was doing after it pitched. The 'leggie'/carom ball to get Raza was a beauty. Great stuff to watch

I really like the fact that we got after Singh early and never let him settle- we could barely get a bat on him last time IIRC but last night we bullied him out of the attack early, they didn't bring him back on for like 10 overs, and when he came back on he got the same treatment.
