Didn't realise he did that role with Sussex. He's in the 90s with s/r of 200 at the moment, if this is a trial game for places in the MB there's a decision to be made. If they could somehow conjure 4/5 overs out of him with the new ball it might be an adequate Barnard replacement, though if he didn't bowl in this game I guess no-one is confident.

Yeah I dont hate the idea...just looked him up, he only averages 11 with the bat in List A cricket but as we've acknowledged it's a long time since he's played the format.

Garton currently 131NO off 66 balls!

GG finished on 141, with 15x4's & 8x6's. Gotta be in with a shout of opening in the MBC. Another 2nds Friendly game coming up next week.
