13 man squad. I was right about Lintott & Garton being in, but didn't think Theo Wylie would make it.

It will be very interesting, to see which two are left out - Wylie & .....?

Desperately short on death bowling.

Id love to see Wylie play. If Garton cant bowl I think Wylie has to, and bat 7, otherwise it's a ludicrously long tail?

Gilchrist injured?

If Simmons is fit but can't get a look in here with all the bowlers we have missing then it doesn't look good for him...

I think I mentioned it (or if I didn't I thought it) that we're an all rounder short this season so extrapolate from this that if Garton can bowl he plays and if not it's Wylie. Can't see Garlick playing unless another injury.

Yates Jani Malik Hain Davies Smith Lintott Bamber Ali OHD Garlick is my best guess.

Just think Wylie or Garton(with no bowling) playing leaves us lacking seam options. Would be really nice to see Theo have a little breakthrough though. Lintott isn’t far off all rounder status having played some really important knocks for us in this comp.

The top 6 picks itself obviously, really interested to see how they sort through the rest. If Garton can bowl, he's in. We went in with 30 or close to 30 overs of spin a couple of times last year (Middlesex at Rugby, Lancs at Liverpool)...would be nice to know the status of Booth, Barker, Simmons and Gilchrist...looking ahead, we definitely need more than 2 seamers at Taunton.

Northants squad looks strong.

just can’t see how Garton goes from being a batter only to being able to bowl 10 in a match. He might get in for batting and being a gun fielder mind! If we’re going in the 4 frontline bowlers though it’d quite a risk to need 10 from Yates and Jani if it’s a road.

Totally agree. Would you pick him if he could only give us 5/6? He often couldn't even give us 4 in the Blast at times!

Honestly don't know which way we go here, Wantage Road at one time was a bit of a bunsen...

even if fitness does allow it would be interesting to see what happens if he goes for 8s off his first 3, doesn't look like we have the bowling resources to hide him?

It's really frustrating that the club do not provide any updates on the injury situations, leaving it to guesswork on our behalf. Garton could be a key player in this comp if he can bowl. Hopefully he is motivated to win us some silverware before he exits.

Any news on Barker? He would be ideal for the balance of the team.

Surely it is worth playing Garton as a specialist batsman, with a white ball average of just 3.5 Davies is unselectable at the moment.

Zen must be injured.

No problem with any of that trio, but Davies, who is unselectable, is included.

What did Albert say about doing the same thing and expecting different results?

George Garton to play his first List A match since 2019.
