The Chief Executive, in his latest letter to members, says:
"We’ve also listened to Member feedback around player injuries and will try to provide more online information when we can."
Of course, he could then have given an update but didn't; but at least the message has got through.

Yeah read it, interesting. He's the most 'Alan Partridge' bloke ive ever come across. I don't really feel as though he 'gets' county cricket. I appreciate the effort from him though.

Someone at the club definitely reads this forum too, no doubt.

Alan Partridge says he's deeply offended to be compared with Stuart Cain.

Several other counties, some with much smaller budgets, are able to provide regular updates on player availability. they even do regular updates through the winter of what the players are doing.

It's not a difficult task, it just takes someone remembering who the clubs customers are.

It's not that difficult to do an update - the Pears can do it. The update includes news of two ex-Bears, so we know more about the fitness of players who no longer play for us than we do about the fitness of our own players.

Have I missed those updates on injuries that the Chief Executive promised us a couple of weeks ago?

No, the link is for a page that agregates data from multiple sources.

Does anyone know if/when Keith Barker will be back? I haven't heard a dicky bird.

Still nothing directly from the Club; but George Dobell has prised some information out of Ian Westwood. He writes:
"... there are injury concerns over several players. Keith Barker "is struggling" (in head coach Ian Westwood's words) to recover from a knee problem which might well end his career.
The sight of Sam Hain, batting in the nets here despite wearing a leg brace (he has a posterior cruciate ligament injury) tells you everything you need to know about his determination to return. He is unlikely to make the first game or two of the Championship run-in, though.
It's unclear how much Chris Woakes will be available, but the club hope to get at least a couple of games out of him."

The Lancashire League Website shows KHD Barker having played ten matches for Enfield CC this summer up to last Saturday.
He leads the club in both runs scored and wickets taken.

Cain has acknowledged the lack of updates on player availability yet still this problem exists. He is paying lip service to the paying public once again.

So Barker was available for league cricket yet as his contracted county we couldn't call upon him for the ODC? His misery left arm varation would have been invaluable, against Leicester for instance. We need some transparency from the club here!

I hate to use the Pears again as an example of how to update your fans on player availability but...

So yet again, we know more about the fitness of ex-players (Brookes and Hose) than our current players.

At last! It's not that difficult, is it.
