It would probably be the sensible option to include both Davies and Malik in the side for this game, and let Kai have a couple of days resting/practicing before the Notts game.
I think it's highly unlikely that Davies will be dropped for Smith on Thursday (as much as I disagree with that) so would expect Kai to play in this one.

Our Under 18's are playing in a 3 day Championship game at Stratford, starting tomorrow, so I guess that's why a few obvious 'rising' 2nds bowlers (like Jack Pidgeon & Ayan Khan) are not in the team today. Given how poorly the batsmen did against Lancs, last week, they obviously needed strengthening, with Nahal & Khan back in, after their performances in the Loughborough Regional tournament.

George Thomas scored a century and announced he had signed a two year deal with Worcs.
I feel he was a player we should have tried to sign.
Also, good to see Charlie Taylor doing well with the new ball yesterday.

If the weather holds, we might get a win at Horsham today.
In the Sussex 1st innings, stand out bowlers were Taz (3 for 58) and Charlie Taylor (2 for 35 off 11 overs). When we batted, a great 97 for Levi Gekis, ably supported by 50's from Omaris Khan & Ollie Dandy (75NO) and a quick 44 from George Garton.
In the Sussex 2nd innings, Taz took 7 for 97 - giving him match figures of 45-5-155-10! Eddie Miller picked up 2 wickets and Charlie, the other.
We're now chasing 131 to win - and George G is going big again (currently 36 off 25 balls!).

Looks like a very impressive effort, and great to see Taz doing so well after what feels like quite a lean season for him.
Does anyone know what has happened to Theo Wylie? I saw he played club cricket at the weekend, so I don’t think he’s injured, but he doesn’t appear to be anywhere near either the first or second team at the moment. Hope there’s some explanation and that he’s still in the mix as I think he’s quite a bright prospect.
