Whilst back in May, Chris Woakes was described as having hernia-like symptoms, the posting "from the dressing room" a week ago said that, Garton, Barker and Hain apart , "the rest of the men’s squad and the entire women’s squad is at full fitness." So maybe Chris's symptoms have resolved themselves and he is just rested to ensure that he stays fit.

Ok so Alex Davies looked to be receiving treatment at the end of the 23rd over, didnt notice anything clear, he appeared to have a back issue though...Kai Smith is going through some light warm ups on the outfield here. Maybe something to keep an eye on.

That man Clarke!
Even if he was a really nice guy (which he isn't), I'd resent all the runs he's scored against the Bears.

Looks like Somerset have a good chance of winning now too, depending on the weather.

I can't believe they've managed to get virtually 2 full days play in down at Hove.

Hove looks bloody awful for rain tomorrow (Or good from our point of view) and maybe with some around for Sunday, it might be hard for Somerset to force a result. It's important that we don't let Nottinghamshire get ahead of us in this game for points, they get 2 batting if they get bowled out for less than 300 but it could be tricky for us to get 2 batting (300) if we lose wickets steadily.

Spare a thought for Durham who only needed 4 runs to win yesterday when the umpires took them off for bad light and subsequently end of day. They’ve all got to rock up this morning for maybe one ball.

And that was only because Bancroft decided that his side were not going to put a spinner on for the Durham 2nd innings so the umpires said they couldn't go back on. I suppose he thinks he's being a tough Aussie by doing this, no he isn't he's being an awkward bastard.

Durham sent in their No 11 Potts who hit a 4 off the last ball of the first over.

Gloucestershire's Mark Alleyne explains it like this:
“They asked if we would bowl our spinners to finish the game. Of course, we said no, we’ll bowl our quick bowlers, in which case it became bad light, so we’ll come back tomorrow,”
“I mean, we’ve been outplayed, of course, but there’s certain parts of the game that we feel we were really hard done by some really poor decisions, in my view, and I hope they get a chance to look back at those, but one of the poorest is playing in the light that we did for so long.
“So, with that in mind, we thought we’d hedge our bets and see if it might rain all day tomorrow, so you never know.”

As it turned out, it took just six balls to finish it today. But I understand Gloucestershire's approach. It's professional sport and points are at stake.

Notts declare on 325/8 after Bamber gets Clark caught slip for 150.

Nothing to gain here. Is the weather gonna hold long enough for us to get enough runs to get batting points?

I assume Notts thinks there is time enough for them to get a few bowling points. Possibility a chance staying dry until late afternoon.
