Has covid put paid to this? Noted on the live feed from Old Trafford the other week this seem to be allowed again, but not any where near the square.

Along with many others, I had a stroll on the outfield and a look at the pitch at Bristol during the tea interval yesterday. It was actively encouraged by the stewards opening the gates in the fence.

Sorry to bang on but watching the bears county live stream from the Oval at lunch second day.

Isn’t it pleasant to see crowds allowed on the outfield at the Oval!!

It's generally a very welcoming ground. Impressed by the amount of young people and families here today too.

It was a nice surprise yesterday to be able to go on the pitch at lunch and tea and as pointed out, there were lots of families and children playing cricket on the outfield. I also did the same at Northants a few weeks ago. I am not sure what objection Warks have to allowing this at Edgbaston.

I agree that allowing spectators on the outfield can only be a good thing - pre-Covid, it happened all the time at Edgbaston.

Pleased to see today spectators allowed back on out field.

Lads and dads playing together. Good atmosphere.

Well done Edgbaston!
