Pretty much a full strength team (of 12) for Essex:-
Yates, Mousley, Burgess (Keeper), Benjamin, Lamb, Ethan Brookes, Henry Brookes, Lintott (Captain !), Miles, OHD, Johal & Shaikh.
Obviously a batting and a bowling XI - with Shaikh in for batting and (probably) Johal for bowling.
Essex won the toss and chose to bat.

Very strong Bears side v an inexperienced Essex side. Very different from last week where we saw a particularly weak Bears 2's face up to a very experienced Northants team.

Interesting certain players aren’t playing.
I would have thought Davies, Briggs and Hain would be in, to get back into red ball. Whereas Burgess, Yates and OHD have been netting and been looking at red ball for a couple of weeks now.
