This is not good news. One player the Aussies really fear. You wonder if Jofra will ever return to red ball cricket? You have to doubt him with all these elbow and back issues over the last two years.....

I would not have pencilled him in for a Test anyway. Bowling a few 4 over spells in each game is nothing to having to be in the field for a while and being called on to bowl maybe 3 spells a day. He would need to get through a CC game to really stake his claim. His best years should be now but I fear we will see less of him in Tests unless something unbelievable happens.

Unfortunately, really quick bowlers tend to be as fragile as biscuits. See Olly Stone, Liam Norwell and many others over the years. There aren't many like Allan Donald who could be relied on to stay fit. Now if someone could bottle his secret.....

He changed the momentum of the series 4 years ago. You could see the change in Australian batsmen from that second test onwards.

I do think unfortunately he may be done in red ball. To be fair he's not even really playing much white ball despite not playing any red ball for yonks.
