What we think?

Hassan be fit?
Maxwell be available?
Woakes still be about?
Stirling still be with us?

Are we perhaps at a huge advantage here having been in 'T20 mode' a week longer than Leicestershire with the comp having only just started?

I would have thought that, with the Ireland Test starting only three days later, Chris Woakes is unlikely to be available.
The Hasan injury looked quite bad but maybe ice, rest and physio will have sorted him out. I can't see the Club taking any risks with his long term fitness so my guess is that, if it's marginal, he won't play.
Stirling should definitely be available. Davies did a good job of hiding him in safe places in the field against Yorkshire.

Yeah it's starting to sound as though Woakes may actually be in the XI to play v Ireland, Is Stirling not in the Ireland squad?

Same team on Friday I'd suggest with Maxwell and Barnard perhaps replacing Stirling and Woakes for Lancs on Mon 29th.

When I said Woakes not available because Ireland Test starts three days later, I was talking nonsense - it's three days after the Lancs game. But I still think that the ECB may hold him back from playing v Leicestershire.
As for Stirling, my guess is he will play even though Ireland will presumably want him for the Test.

Woakes spoke about being available for the first couple of games, so I guess that he’ll be available, unless the ECB have changed their mind

Hassan still out with ankle injury. OHD, Bethell and Maxwell added to the squad.
Possibly one change Maxwell in for Mousley? Or perhaps Lintott makes way?

Maybe Maxwell for Yates or Stirling and Davies up to open?

Pretty sure that we’ll keep Stirling in as we’ve presumably paid for him already. I think Maxwell for Yates is the only change I’d make.

I think Maxwell for Mousley. They’re just too similar, and unfortunately Maxwell is clearly the better player.

Stirling playing in the Ireland friendly today, what was the point of his deal exactly!? Maxwell for him then I guess.

Maxwell for Yates the only change. I guess Stirling must be travelling to Chelmsford tomorrow!

Brookes is so frustrating. Brilliant one game, awful the next.

Bizarrely, Paul Stirling is playing for Ireland at Chelmsford and also for the Bears. He didn't take the field today for Ireland but will presumably be there tomorrow to bat.

The usual Stirling/Davies effect coming home to roost yet again.

That was a pretty good win overall, with Maxwell looking like a great signing and Sam Hain and Danny Briggs each doing what they do so well.
Henry Brookes had a horror match both with his bowling and his fielding - difficult to understand the change from the Yorkshire game other than to say "that's cricket".
