Johal in the squad!

Any realistic title hopes disappear here with anything less than a big points win

Fair play to Johal, he's been decent for the 2's lately and in the Birmingham League.

Shame Pieter Malan won't be playing. An absolute walking wicket.

Bethell and Brookes in for Rushworth and Briggs.

Lost the toss, batting.

And already one down... Davies out for 4 off 2 balls.

That wasn't to do with the conditions, either it spat up off the surface or Davies played it badly, can't tell which one from the stream

Green pitch, ball swinging, 4 down. Toss was vital here.

It's jagging everywhere off the pitch. OHD would have had a field day with ball in hand here.

Just about to put the live stream on........I am not going to bother

No matter what the conditions are we should not be 5 down for nothing on our own pitch against one of the worst teams in the championship, another season falling away with the same players failing over and over again.

Robinson has some questions to answer, our mentality is not good enough when we are up against it with bat or ball

I've seldom seen batting conditions so difficult.

Burgess batting about a foot and half out of his crease to TRJ

Why do we never win the toss when it’s like this?

Flight from Dublin at 8am this morning..should have booked a return for this evening..lucky to get two full days at this rate

What a woeful start, surely has to be down to a very poor pitch

If they have to reserve wickets for the Hundred why on earth didn't they plan ahead and use an outground?

Especially during the school holidays.

Unfortunately we seem Edgbaston obsessed these days!

The ECB need to shoulder some of the blame for this. Gary Barwell has clearly been instructed to reserve several available decent pitches for the garbage that's to come in August. Imagine the NFL scrapping their fixtures in November and having 4 rounds of 'flag football' plonked there instead

Which outgrounds do you suggest? Rugby school was always rubbish and apparently Stratford used to cost a fortune.

Truth is Barwell has the arse and has put us on a minefield.
