Our next 3 games are against teams directly above us in the table - Leicestershire, Durham & Lancs. I reckon we need to win at least two of these matches to stay in touch with the top 4., a couple of defeats and we could be out of it. As for the team, i think we'll stick with the 11 who beat Worcs a couple of weeks ago.

I think we’ll add Gleeson and maybe Moeen?

Gleeson, yes, Moeen has departed 'our shores'.

Based on recent form, if Lintott and Hassan Ali play, we need to hope the remaining 3 bowlers go for under 30 each, as Lintott & ali are conceding around 100 runs from their 8 overs.

Also, Yates was dropped from the side after the first game, unless there are many injuries to the other batsmen, there is no viable reason to restore him to the side.

I don't think they will play Yates and Latham together unless it's a real emergency, think it more likely they would promote Sheikh, Malik or Jani. Perhaps Yates in the squad as good fielder and for later when Latham is out...

Do we really want Moeen in the side? He is leaving and is just keeping a player for the future out.

So what is going on, quite a few people had said Worcestershire game was Moeen's last game? I saw no official announcement I must admit...

Good so far, excellent from Gleeson, Hassan and Briggs. Now let's see how we bat as I still have nightmares about the Pears game.

Really good, professional run chase, no mad shots trying to give catching practice like we often do.

Good chase in the middle, and then a few jitters towards the end, but the game was gone by then.

I only saw the second innings. Does anyone what happened with Garton's one over?

It was pretty rubbish tbh. Full tosses and inaccurate.

Very good all round performance - after the excellent start by Davies we coasted it with Hain and Mousley batting sensibly.

It was an excellent performance last night, some good bowling and sensible batting in the run chase. Young Mousley played a couple of streaky shots early on, but settled down to play a disciplined innings. There's no doubt batting with Hain was a big factor in his this. I would like to see Mousley bat at 5 in the CC, batting in between Hain at 4 & Barnard at 6 would help him no end. I would really like to see him selected for all the remaining CC games this season, he needs a decent run of games instead of playing 2 or 3 & then getting dropped.

Yeah it was good to see Mouse get a score yesterday. His development was definitely skew whiff in the last year or so. I'd like to see him focus on all format batting and not get too distracted with bowling and hanging around representative squads from here. It's a bit if a problem if, for example, Malik gets rhe five slot in cc rather than our own academy product.

I think Mousley has great potential, i would certainly select him over Malik for the remaining CC matches. Potentially, they both could play although it would probably mean leaving out Smith and letting Davies take the gloves.
