Yates with a first baller
He had to play at that, bit of a brute first up.
7-2
Never mind though, Davies is in next..............
He's really out of form but not sure who else could open (other than Davies, a backward step), and maybe its better to see if he can use this comp to get back into nick.
Zen miss a full bunger then?
Why did we win the toss and elect to bat when all the stats state that teams batting second have a big advantage in 50 overs cricket?
Why have we come out looking to slog instead of playing ourselves in for a couple of balls?
Inept coaching / captaincy must be the root cause as this isn't the first time.
It's a good job that this summer has been very meteorologically disappointing and rain is inevitab........bugger.
Not sure we've looked to slog?
Guthrie played in our 2's last year, a left armer who's rapid and swings it (if a little erratic) and is eligible to play as a non overseas, why weren't we on this? Cheers Robbo/Larsen.
Not sure about the umpiring here
Home by mid afternoon.....

4-down. Shaikh straight in with a high bat looking to swing it.
My only guess is that Rugby School are charging for the pitch per minute.
The umpires have been right so far today.
Both are very experiences umpires, with Sue Redfern having handled international matches. They are not the reason for the bad batting.
Don’t agree the LBWs the finger went up far too quickly and the caught behind looked v suspect.
It’s both ends not just her!
Just got to hope we get suspect decisions when we field!
That decision on Hamza Shaikh is absolutely outrageous.
Barnard looked a bit unlucky there, although there have been a couple of other close ones.
I keep saying it, something is not right.
We scrambled through a poor standard T20 group, 2 of our 3 championship wins have been extremely unlikely results that on most occasions would have been the opposite and we are currently 4 down for nothing vs Northants 2nds (and we have on paper a strong team out).
It seems like every game we are looking for someone to drag us out of the mire.
Somebody needs to come into the club, raise the standards and set expectations much higher than they currently are within the squad. We are better than this but are being allowed to slack far too often.
They've all looked out to me apart from Hamza Shaikh, that decision from umpire Harris is scarcely believeable.
The 4th wicket looked dodgy seeing as most close in fielders didn't react but if we are getting out to at best, a 4th seamer like Luke Procter, we must must be poor.
Test match statistics show that, on review, about 30% of umpires’ decisions are overturned so they are far from infallible.
Pretty strong Northants team too to be fair Meash, 2 overseas players in it, one of them the IPL's all time leading wicket taker. Proctor, Broad, Guthrie, Vasconcelos, Keogh etc all first teamers.
Plenty of cricket left in this match.
