Forecast is getting worse for tomorrow each time I look at it
Yeah everytime i look (increasingly regularly) the forecast totally changes.
OHD and Simmons in the 12.
No Woakes, no Barker, no Gilchrist.
Yes, OHD recalled at short notice from the Pears:

Gilchrist bowled 20 overs in the seconds with figures of 0-102. Given he's not really pulled up any trees in the first XI it seems he's being left out on form. The other two you would suspect have to be fitness related omissions.
I expect Simmons to be the one to miss out.

We must have injuries.
All those bowlers and we still have so many out, that we have to recall someone out on loan. Many fluctuating weather forecasts online, not sure which one to trust.
Have we lost 4 out of 5 tosses now?!
Fantastic start.
When will Ian Westwood make the change that is overdue and drop Davies?

If the management group are to retain any sense of fairness Davies gets dropped
On a different note why no match preview on the website until this morning
My phone pinged just after 11, I 100% knew it was Davies out, then followed another one at 11.15, I knew it was Yates, so bloody predictable.
To be fair Yates has beem digging in more this year
3 giveaways
Davies playing the wrong length, Yates nibbling at one that looked already over his stumps just poor decision making and then Mousley after showing some patience chases a full nothing ball and nicks off.
Terrible from us. Davies would have been loaned out or moved on by any other big CC side with how consistently poor he has been.
Yates & Mousley, despite their promise & the fact that as home grown players we all want them to succeed are just not progressing.
They are up against Jack White & Ben Cliff though..........................
There has to be a question of why Yates & Mousley haven't developed as expected. Both, in their own distinct ways, clearly have talent.
At the ground now. 39/3. Another poor start. The same pattern in nearly every game. What's happened to Woakes, Barker and Gilchrist, surely not all injured?
With a 4 day second team game at Headingly this week, the logical thing, consideiring his abysmal performances would have to included Davies in that game to get some practice. Apart from his one acceptable innings, his other 7 innings have produced 16 runs at an average of 2.66.
Feel like Yates has just about enough credit in the bank for now. Mousley's dismissal was galling after he did so much of the hard work early on. Ton v Surrey starting to feel a while ago now...its always 1 step forward and 2 steps back with him I feel.
Davies needs runs in the 2nd innings, he's barely lasting out an over at times.
Only defence for any of them is that we keep losing the toss and getting shoved in under overcast skies and the ball nipping about.
It may well be another result wicket.
Not great here today. Mousley's wicket was by far the worst. Take out the Surrey 100 ton and he's as good as averaging the same as Davies.
Assuming things don't measurably improve in this game or next, any suggestions for the top three for the second half of the season? Yates probably keeps his place. Malik to 3?
