We seem to have gone back to proper cable knit sweaters which I welcome.

And the yellow stripe is back which i welcome.

Unfortunately however they have merged the blue and yellow stripes and now it doesn't look like a Warwickshire sweater.

Which should look like this:

and they've missed the white stripe out so it now looks like this:

Opportunity missed!

Anybody on here going to the screening at Electric Cinema tomorrow?

Be nice to meet anybody if so.

I am concerned about this. he seems to indicate that "Senior Management" and "the Board" are free to take their own view and will do so on the proposed changes.

This seems to indicate a step change from being a members' club.

There is the sop of the Members' Committee but I know in the past that several people were told at interviews they couldn't join it if they opposed Club policies.

I appreciate the Club did get its constitutional changes through a couple of years ago (including the extremely high bar of 250 signatures for an SGM which is higher than most clubs) but we are still a Members Club. It seems incredible that the Board and Senior Management feel they are completely unaccountable and can decide what they like.

Ultimately i think - like Lancashire - we need an SGM to hold the Chairman and Board to account and remind them who actually owns the Club!

Saw Alan Higham today from Lancs Acrion Group.

He had gathered impressive number of signatures for an SGM and to hold Warwickshire Execs to account.

However it’s too late to call one before Warwickshire vote at ECB so this will have to hold them accountable to members afterwards.

Unfortunately the constitutional changes a couple of years ago have marginalised Members with a closed shop Members Committee and 250 signatures now required for SGM.

But if we can get a critical mass we could regain some control which we traditionally had.

I think I saw Stuart Cain in the Members Lounge today but he didn’t stay long or speak to many members.

I guess it’s up to us if we want to be as brave as Lancashire. Surrey and Essex members.
