So Lintott bats and wins the game at Taunton, then gets dropped, booth does the same at Durham and then he gets dropped. Seems like you do well and get dropped, play poorly as some of the batters have at times and you keep getting picked. Odd
Add Lintott and that makes a full xi
Hamza played an appalling shot
And interestingly, he looked a bit out of sorts early in the blast, and wickets taken were all catches in the deep, after his spell captaining the seconds in red ball and getting some wickets, and runs, he seems to be bowling straighter and more attacking and most of the wickets are now bowled or lbw. Interesting
Couple more wickets and this game becomes winnable
Not a great start!! To say the least
Yes he had a great game pity the CC ends for a bit now.
And you’ve got to ask the question, do they want to win or give people a go? Had Lintott not gone in at 8 in the second innings he may well not have run out of partners and got stranded on 50 no. Another 20 runs and they could well have won but it seems like “you got a hundred first dig, well bat you at 8 and see if anyone else can do it.” Rather foolish if you ask me, that is if the aim is to win.
Interesting game developing. Kent need 271 to win on a spinning wicket. Another 50 no for Lintott following his first innings 122. Having another good game for the 2’s! Should be an exciting finish tomorrow with a bit of luck.

Also Charlie Taylor, and they are continuing with the experiemnt of Lintott as an opening batsman!
Lintott as opening batter and captain -surely he couldn't replace another opening batter and captain?!
The Captain has got a ton - so, yes, he could be on the rise! A Trophy winning Captain, an opening bat and a cunning left arm spinner - who could ask for more?!
And still can’t make the championship side! Captained the 2nd trophy winning side, six fer last week and now a hundred. One wonders how much door knocking he has to do?
On another tack, was Taz injured last week as he only bowled 2 overs in their second innings on a drying pitch when they needed to get them out?
Against a very strong Surrey side. Great effort all round.
With Taz only bowling 2 overs against Worcester, one would think at the reliably spinning Essex, Lintott may be brought in, but he has been snubbed so many times does he still want to?
Is Tazinjured? Just two overs?
Nice to see Lintott getting four overs and justifying it with three non catch wickets! Great result
Crowd was affected by several things. One it was extremely cold, two there are two games this weekend and three possibly it being Eid may have put some Asians off.
Thought the bowlers got caned early on and the Malan Wharton partnership was looking very dangerous. However the bowlers stuck at it and when Lintott repositioned Hassan and had Wharton caught next ball the whole game changed. Last five overs they scored 25 with malan facing very few balls and scoring very few. Great turnaround.
I thought when the bears batted yorkshires fielding was pretty abject and the spinners were conversely very ineffective.
Bit squeaky at the end but got there. Good game despite the weather
Lintott and Briggs’s will play, especially at Edgbaston
I agree I’m afraid. I’m not in the least bit phobic but isn’t it being discriminatory by having a rainbow day. As LE says, let’s have a disabled day etc etc. if I was in a gay relationship I’d be a tad embarrassed by it, as are several of my friends who are gay.
Looks like round one of the mousley/sheikh shoot out has gone very much Dans way!
Good article and listening to Westwoods thoughts on Abu Dhabi, he may have put himself in the frame. Good luck to him.
Lintott left high and dry on 99 not out! Plus he took 3 wickets in their first innings.

Seems strange that an hours playing time is lost, but only a total of 6 overs.
Have to feel for Ed Barnard been left out when he has been one of the better performers.
Because extra time is factored in
