We need a typical late September morning session wicket tomorrow. Get near to the tailenders by lunch - game on!

If hard cash was on offer for a 3rd position, perhaps a few wives breathing down a few players' necks, saying "think what a few extra £'s could do..". That never hurts for getting things moving, or am I being sexist now.
Sounds like an honest observation of life as it has always been !!!!!!
Please explain when they come off for bad light I can see the umpires casting a single shadow indicating that is caused by the sun
You would also think they would start this work just one week later!!

Does this mean we can expect Lord Buckethead to stand in Birmingham Edgbaston for 2025 GE with a heavy Warwickshire CCC based manifesto?
Yes, suggestions for the manifesto are welcome.
So far, we have:
- a life peerage for Olly Hannon-Dalby
- compulsory membership of WCCC for all citizens over 18
- compulsory membership of Bearsfans for all citizens who can think of at least three items to complain about each week
- immediate transportation to Worcestershire of all illegal immigrants, unless they can bowl like OH-D, bat like Sam Hain or keep wicket like Michael Burgess
- capital punishment for all Alex Davies lookalikes
- anyone rejecting the manifesto to be sent on an endless search for a suitable outground
Seems like a winner to me!
How about adding
Life Peerages for the 1994 squad
Compulsory membership of the Junior Bears provided within 6 months of birth
Superb win - at lunch it looked dead set for a draw and even more so when the heavens opened. I can remember the time when a run rate of 6 an over in CC would not even be attempted!!!

28/2. Ridiculous decision by the umpire to give Mousley out stumped! His foot never left the ground! Albeit by a toe.
Square leg camera showed his foot out of the crease but the heel would have been inside had it been on the ground. When the bails were removed his heel was off the ground.
58 to win but it looks decidely dull on You Tube. I wonder how long the umpires will allow the fast bowlers to bowl when they come back out. That's if they come back out.

I would love 'The HunDread' to be played on the moon. The dusty surface would help no one but it might mean it would take forever to finish and would stop the rest of this format's competitions from ever starting.
I must admit in my conversations with Andy I was trying to think of a suitable venue for HunDread.16.4 away from Lord's. Paul that is an unbeatable suggestion - if only !!
Why. Andy, did you have to bring that awful format in to the conversation????? Personally I would like the 16.4 be confined to history. I didn't even know that competition had a final and am amazed it is played at Lords - all about ECB hype-ing up to justify the millions they have thrown at it. Comparing it to the One Day Cup I can understand your point of view regarding where finals are played.
Andy - I presume from your comments you believe the T20 Finals Day should also be held at Lord's. I think it is good the white ball finals are held in the midlands instead of supporters of northern counties always having to make the trip to London.
Anyway at least we agree it is great fo a county like Leicestershire to hold up a trophy. (Many on this forum also enjoy seeing Hants lose for a change!!)

Well played Chrissy Wright and Leicestershire
And it was Keith Barker who failed to hit a 4 off the last ball. Good for cricket to see Leics getting a trophy.

Its absolutely criminal this game isn't played at Lords.
We don't want finals at Lord's anymore. Most of us would be unable to drive there without paying the ULEZ charge!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, if Trent Bridge is only 25% full just think what Lord's would look like.
ECB should remember the big business saying - KISS - Keep It Simple.Stupid. Scrap the Hundred and stick to CC, Blast and 50 Over Cup. Bring in all the National counties that want to take part and form a league structure for the Blast. If the leagues consist of 10 teams it would give 2 minors the opportunity to play against first class counties. I like the idea of double headers as outlined by Mad.
Very interesting observations. At Edgbaston surely it would be a relatively simple thing to put the sightscreens on a rail that runs the full width plus a bit of the square. All that is needed is for big ticket days the wicket is chosen well in advance and seats sold accordingly.
Every two years is simply a money grabbing exercise. World cups in every sport are all based on a 4 year cycle.
Burgess nearly blew it with the failed caught and bowled but otherwise him and OHD played an excellent partnership to bring home the points
What a really nice surprise. Happy Birthday, Terry

OH-D: In the first ten years of his career he took 109 first class wickets at an average of 38 and was very lucky to still have a contract. In the next five and a bit, he's taken 205 wickets at 23 and is an automatic first choice. Was this Pop Welch's doing?
That is quite an incredible set of figures
I remember when he arrived at Edgbaston and many supporters were wondering why we had signed him !!! A lot of humble pie has been eaten over the years!!!
