Total championship attendance in 2023 was 14,986. Top was Surrey 52,053. Worcestershire 16,378. Northants 6,638.
Only 4 counties had fewer people through the gate than us. I know Stuart Cain is always keen to quote the costs of a championship game at Edgbaston and how much of a loss this makes. But I've never heard any mention of playing a few games at Portland Road or Rugby School. I presume it would save a few ££££££?

Apologies if this has already been posted, but my Taunton mate sent me this today......

Would be interested to know how the forum members rate winning T20 or ODI Cup over the championship.
Personally I go to as many blast and ODI games as possible, but the comp that matters is winning the championship, regardless of the cash involved.

I was at the game last night and agreed with Bristol Bears comments I'm not wholly sure what Moeens influence on the team is on the field, I think it's fair comment to say he wasn't 100% up for it last night, the dropped catch was appalling.
Smith isn't a big enough hitter to play down the order.
Northants had a definite plan for each batsman, I'm not sure we did. Far too much digging the ball in short of a length on middle and leg.
But after a loss I just remind myself it's just T20, not real cricket 😁

I think those flats are rental only. Would like to know what the agreement between Warwickshire and the development company is, and how much annual revenue is derived by Edgbaston annually from them.

I was looking at a picture of the ground today. I bet there’s some in those new flats which were built and has a view of the ground who must be gutted a hotel will now block their view.

Surely none of the people who bought them expected to keep that view for long? The club has been planning to redevelop that side of the ground for a while.

Hi All,

My first post to the group.
I'm not sure if it's common knowledge with many of the Bears fans, but Sam Hains father passed away at the start of the season, so he was given compassionate leave to return to Australia for an extended period.
He has had a difficult season as we've all seen, but a very decent knock at Trent Bridge hopefully augurs well for next year.
