Lancashire need to lose for us to be able to qualify and they scored 443...

Meanwhile, Hamza Shaikh is averaging 81 after seven games for Leicestershire.
Yes, this is really disheartening from a pure Warwickshire point of view. He seemed destined to be a first XI from a young age and then after a bit of bad form seemed to be dropped for a long time and announced he was leaving just before the One Day Cup, when he would no doubt have had a run of games.
I hope for him he kicks on and fulfils his potential and maybe one day he can come back if he does become a top player, as we put a lot of work into his development.
He did also score a flurry of 3 fours towards the end when it was required so between him and Jani they won the game - I thought once Mousley was out we were done for.
That said I wouldn't renew Davies' contract and there are still issues in that XI (Gilchrist seems like a nothing signing and no front line spinner) but we've got a chance of qualifying which is more than I thought after the slow start!
Would be frustrating if we win tomorrow and just miss out on qualification, to almost mirror the T20 season.
That is an awful LBW decision against Mousley
This is a hell of a rebuild with a long tail. Otherwise could be a very short day
This XI is a bit of a mess, how have we got to here? I guess we don't know how much is due to injury, availability with other comps and pure selection but it doesn't look great right now.

A higher level role and closer to home and family, seems a sensible move for him,
Also, looking at some of the batting performances and averages this season, his coaching isn't working with some of our players.
On the flipside to that Yates has had his most productive season for a while and Mousley you could probably say the same for too, especially in T20.

Excellent performances from players who will have a significant role in the ODC. I’d consider us among the favourites with Sam Hain currently looking to be available. When Vansh Jani gets going he’s so destructive, it’ll be interesting to see how he’s used this year after playing as a finisher last season.
Yates Barnard Shaikh Hain Davies Jani Smith Lintott Bamber Ali Hannon-Dalby? Feels rough to leave Shaikh out as this is the competition in which he needs exposure to help justify his position but do feel he’s the more likely drop for another bowler.
Barnard is playing in the Hundred so there's an opening at the top of the order but also he's a frontline bowler in this comp so would probably have to replace him with someone like Gilchrist
I think what I said earlier is wrong and we are out already as Worcestershire will play Somerset and therefore one will finish on more than 24 points which is the max we can get.
If Somerset were to win (which they have) then Worcester had to beat Gloucester

It's difficult to work out - but I think it's one of those ones where it's mathematically possible but extremely unlikely. In any scenario though, should just play our strongest team for this match, then it presumably becomes certain we can't progress in the next match, tweak a selection. Re our chat on Garton on the 2XI feed yesterday, might we worth subbing him in for Barnard on Sunday and see if he can open and maybe bowl a few overs with a view to the Metro Bank.
Obviously if we lose we're out but I think if we win it is: Gloucestershire beat Worcestershire tonight, then Glamorgan beat Gloucestershire on Sunday.
Worcestershire then beat Somerset on Sunday OR Somerset lose tonight. In that case, it doesn't matter who wins Gloucestershire v Worcestershire tonight, provided the loser of that game also loses their match on Sunday.
I think that's it, but I've given myself a headache and in all reality we should start blooding players for other purposes.
Is Garton out of contract at the end of the year?
I also thought it was sarcastic applause and it was so obvious he was then going to aim one at Mousley's head, which Dan read and pumped into the Hollies.
They did have a warm exchange at the end of his spell though tbf
I used to think Hose hit it hard but Webster is another level. Anything from square to cover on the offside is like a tracer bullet when he connects.
That was a comfortable win as you can expect really. Yates set the tone early on and then Webster and Hain both carried it on. Only criticism was that with 4/5 overs left you would expect us to get over 200. Mills is still a good death operator though.
Then despite only getting 122 I would say Sussex were lucky to get that. I think they were in double figure of edges that landed safe or went just past the stumps. Woakes incredibly unlucky not to get a wicket but he seems to have a bit of a habit of that in the blast this season?
Sunday's game is now an important one - win the next four and we're through. If Surrey beat Gloucestershire on Saturday then four wins will almost definitely see us second.
I'm predicting a small crowd tonight with the football, no matter how much they market it as a joint football and cricket experience.
Sussex also only 2 wins from 7 so we really should be looking to win this one.
Webster is going to be a huge miss in both comps, which is testament to how good an overseas signing he has been. Given our record with overseas has been pretty poor over the years we have to give the club a lot of credit for this one.
I think it was said on here after our fifth loss in a row that we would have to win the next seven in a row to qualify. Well we've managed two in a row...
Unfortunately all the games between teams from our group and teams from other groups seem to be being won by the teams in our group.
A couple of poles tonight would go down very nicely
Reports now suggesting there was an altercation with punches thrown. No suggestion Stokes or Atkinson were involved in the punches but this is not a good look and could be terminal for his captaincy?
And then to only bring the field in when they need one rather than when they needed two!!
