I think Booth should feature in the blast, good lower order hitter and did a decent job bowling at the death in the metro bank cup last season I thought.

As for Bamber, he need to have his feet up after his heroics the last few weeks, but I would like to see him in the blast at some point.

Bit of a shame if Glamorgan bat on this morning, but I can't seem them doing anything else. Maybe I'll be surprised!

Hee Hee, to be fair not many would be expecting a repeat (almost!) of that 2027 game especially after the last 5 years of grind!

whether malik should be in or out or davies should be in or out , Kai Smith has to start. His batting is good enough, and he is still a 21 year old who needs games to get his keeping sharper (which I presume is the reason he is dropped). For me he is a player who should always play, like Hain, Barnard, Webster, Bamber. Part of the core.

I'm not happy with Kai Smith being dropped in favour of davies keeping as he needs to play. Pretty sure he averages more with the bat than davies this season too!

I think there was some great recruitment in the winter, but a top order bat to open or play at 3 was the glaring omission.

I'm a bit disappointed with the score, especially with so many players getting starts and the big guns in the tail (Booth and Bamber) not firing. Therefore it looks like we will be trying to salvage a draw again, however I don't think Notts would be pushing very hard for the win- why would they? -so they might just bat and bat.

Hopefully I am wrong and they will be 5 down at lunch!

If Kai isn't given time in the team, how is he going to improve his keeping? He should be the first choice keeper in all forms of the game.

I agree. I would also point out that Kai has a higher batting average that Davies in the CC this season, but that would be churlish.

I would love to see Notts break Surrey's stranglehold but not at our expense, and it would be great to nab an away win.

I'm not sure why Bethell would make the team, other players like Malik have have played well enough this season to keep their place,. Perhaps that just me though!

I don't know why Booth is not in the squad ahead of OHD and Miles. And garton and gleeson for that matter.
