Come on you Bears let's rock the boat this week...

It would be quite nice if Warks Twitter gave us some squad news, or even some acknowledgment that the men are playing tomorrow in a game that would put us in a nice position were we to win.

Preview from the Surrey perspective (with their squad), with a bit about Warwickshire added from Brian Halford:

The fact that the new Head of Media has not yet started (or been announced) is still causing problems on basic matters such as the Surrey match preview. Let's hope that the new person gets a grip on things quickly.

I think Young is available so I'd say he will come in at 3 for Mousley. Also reckon OHD will play instead of Gilchrist

Must be a green top, each side playing 5 seamers effectively. At least we bowl first.

Won the toss bowling.

If Kai isn't injured then this feels a little harsh...

Also the stupid decision for Davies to open, captain and keep wicket!

Not too surprised about Kai. It is his debut season as wicketkeeper and we shouldn’t underestimate the mental and physical challenge involved. He has played all the 50 over games throughout August and started to look a bit ragged towards the end - the rest will do him no harm.

Slightly worried about Nathan Gilchrist elevated straight into the team - although he has a great action, his performances for Kent and Middlesex in the last few weeks have not filled me with confidence. Very much hoping I’m wrong!

No more stupid than expecting Ed to open the bowling, captain and open the batting! We clearly like all-rounders………

Very harsh on Kai, who has improved in all aspects of his game after the last few weeks.

It is decisions like this that can wreck a young players confidence and make them decide to look for opportunities elsewhere.

Good luck to Will and Nathan on their debuts

Is there a way of watching it other than the Surrey stream? They have awful commentators. Not sure I can bear to listen to Norcross or Collins. And there were some real randoms in addition last season.

I know there’s a BBC commentary.

So Bamber & Booth are fit and ok to play today - why weren't they selected for Saturdays quarter-final? OHD played & he's in the team today, so why not choose our best two bowlers for the match? Are Garton & Gleeson contracted to play every Blast match unless they are injured? I just don't understand why we didn't select our strongest possible team for an important match.

Bamber's already got Sibley out, the team looks strong today so hopefully we can put in a good performance against this Surrey lot.

We won’t be watching Sibley bat for two days.

Thats a shame, he's a proper opener who knows how to bat all day, and rarely gets out to stupid shots. A massive shame he left, plus he's had captaincy experience, so overall an improvement on our current situation.

As both Garton and Gleason have put contracts with other teams above playing for Warwickshire I'd suspect not.

So, Young in for Smith and OHD for Taz.
