On Saturday we witnessed Sean Dickson turn it AB de Villiers, we almost had Ryan Patel do a Brian Lara this afternoon and now Tom Lawes has become Allan Donald.
And Jack Shantry is Joel Wilson!
Just looked again at the Davies dismissal, shocking and the patronising comment about "Small men's pads" could only come from a patronising Surrey wanker who commentates using an 'Arseholes Microphone' - just to even it up.
Worrall has been almost unplayable.
It's just so nice to have proper red ball live feed on my spare monitor at work all day, the only problem is that I have to have it muted.
Just wishing that most weeks between April and September had county cricket, instead of it being a pleasant rarity.

This has happened to us before at The Oval re. umpiring.
Of course Surrey have perfected orchestrated excited appealing every time the ball hits the pad, screaming in exaltation before the umpire has made his decision, which puts considerable pressure on the "poor old umpire". I pass no opinion on the actual decisions, although on stream I had a better view than gully and all but the keeper, bowler and maybe first slip, who all appealed with excited, animated, confidence and they could have had no idea if it was LBW or not.
Well played to Young & Barnard for getting us back in the game. Let's hope they can keep going tomorrow morning & avoid any dodgy lbw decisions. With Mousley, Booth & Bamber to bat as well hopefully we can get ourselves a lead at some point.

I heard a brief bit of the Surrey radio commentary and they suggested that Young and Barnard are pretty much the last wickets they will need to take.
Nice to see their encyclopaedic knowledge of other counties and totally unbiased objectivity there
I do wonder if the, harsh, decision to omit Kai Smith will come back to hurt us. There was a dreadful dropped chance that cost runs, and a poor innings from Malik, you have to wonder if the overall contribution from Kai would have been greater.
We'll never know. Neither Kai or Malik made runs in the last CC game and Kai did drop Westley in the 40's. Swings and roundabouts.
Big first hour this morning. Felt Barnard and Young rode their luck a bit yesterday, credit to them for seeing it out though. Wickets have fallen in clusters thus far. Don't want to be 170 - 7 and scratching around at midday. Fingers crossed for a good start today.
What a ball

Barnard didn't seem to think so, unless I have misread his body language.
He was shaking his head all the way off the field and did not make any attempt to leave the pitch.
Getting a positive decision from an umpire at the Oval is like getting a penalty at Old Trafford 20 years ago, every questionable decision seems to go their way.
Didn't pick up on any dissent? Could be wrong. I mean either way it was clearly an absolute seed, right?
Genuinely don't have an issue with any of the commentary teams. The Somerset bunch are fine IMHO one thing that grates me a bit with this Surrey lot is how much they strive to make it sound like the players have a really hard time playing county cricket. They're generally incisive and do show enthusiasm for good play from both sides but it's a bit too dour/downbeat for me compared to our own fellas. Maybe that's a result of sitting through 3 seasons where they've absolutely hammered everyone especially at home

i've listened to all of the county BBC radio comms teams sooner or later and I generally find them to be basically likeable, and engaged with local cricket and their own counties in a way I find to be quite likeably quaint almost. Surrey tend to raise my ire, probably mostly just because, well they're Surrey, Norcross aside, even.
I really enjoy seeing Peter Trego's input on the SCCC stream

let me guess was that Norcross
The one big positive of the Surrey coverage is their use of Andrew Sampson as scorer/statistitian. He was brilliant when he was on TMS, and is still excelelnt now. Much more knowledgeable and relevant than the replacement on TMS.
Thankfully Norcross not on this morning although I’d love to have heard him talking about how a Warwickshire lead was great news for Surrey!
Collins as arrogant and insufferable as ever.
