If they declared overnight and it stayed fine tomorrow it would be a cracking game. My view is neither is likely to happen.

Forecast looks awful. If I had been their captain, I would have thrown the bat at everything once the lead was 220 and had a go tonight with the ball, not very nice for any batsmen and maybe 2-3 down overnight. Tomorrow would then be very nervy and a session might do it if the weather held out for 30 over, all hypothetical but a draw looks more likely.

Lovely piece of 007 whimsy in the match report on Cricinfo. Apologies for not knowing how to link to it.

Bit of a shame if Glamorgan bat on this morning, but I can't seem them doing anything else. Maybe I'll be surprised!

With the look of the forecast, I think they will declare. If we lost 20 overs, that would still give them time to bowl us out. It all depends on how much a captain will trust the weather. This morning on BBC TV Weather, it appeared to be fine but looking at 3 other forecasts, it didn't appear to be too optimistic in terms of rain. Either way, the conditions for bowling should be alright so it's all a case of how Carlson feels about his bowlers.

Can we get these last 3 wickets quickly, chase 350 maybe?

Not sure what Glamorgan's thinking is here, try and bat us out of it but be able to set attacking fields for the rest of the game. Cooke, van der Gugten, Norton and Crane have contributed 17 from 70 balls!

I'm confused as to whether those extra wickets this morning have helped us or not. We don't really want to have to bat out masses of overs do we? Perhaps not being economical while not overly threatening is the key to this pair in at the moment. I still think they have enough runs to be safe - but not sure we have short enough time to be assured of safety either.

All out. Tricky little period coming up for us now, expect Glamorgan to come in hard sensing an opportunity.

75 overs I would think but they will be able to have close catchers in for all of our innings. Can't think of any reason to have batted on for so long but if there actually is no rain, perhaps they fancy their chances. Hope we don't go crazy and try and do a 'Harry Brook' at every ball.

I think we can win this providing one of Mousley, Hain, Webster or Barnard can score a quick-fire hundred. Important that Davies & Yates can give us a sound base to work from.

5 an over over 70+ overs .is a big ask

It will all depend on how our middle-order approach the innings when they come in to bat, we will of course need to up the run rate after lunch. However, if their bowling's a bit wayward this afternoon then we have the batsmen to take advantage of it, so there's always a chance.

The rain hath arrived. getting 46 overs in after tea looks impossible and diminishes the chance for us to win as we lose overs. Seeing as we have been chasing the game since Saturday teatime, I think it wouldn't be so bad to get a draw. That would keep us in 3rd just behind Notts who appear to be struggling to get wickets. Good.

Match drawn. A shame as I think we could have had a good go at chasing it down, but a draw leaves us in a good position going into the break!

I would have settled for that at the start of the season, 2nd, 5 points behind Notts.

We might have had a dip at that you know.

League table is extremely close right now, just gotta see how everyone shapes up in 3 or 4 weeks time when we resume. Our game v Sussex haunts us!

I see that "poor" Yorkshire side we beat had a decent result against some team called Surrey, must be full of cloggers...

No more County Championship at Edgbaston for 94 (i think?) days. Games gone.
