Obvious that the side winning the toss would bowl but we did the same to Notts and they managed to fight through it so we need our batsmen to just bat time if they can and we have the bowling to win it if we get some runs.

Conditions look quite tough right now.

Seems like a decent recovery from Mouse and Yates, long may it continue. Working so saw none of it but seems like had to battle a bit early on. In West London rained a bit about an hour ago but it dried up no end since then, it maybe that's it for rain for today (I know, I know - sshhh!)

To a previous topic, I had never heard of the Kuggelijn story before, it's actually well splashed on the Guardo as well. There was an interesting subtext there that the he was part of the Indian team that now owns Hampshire so there is a clear inference about how they got into that situation.

Rain delay come at a bad time, we'd just started to pick up some momentum.

I find it frustrating that they’re not showing a live stream of the ground at all during the delay, so it’s not possible to see if it’s raining/if they’ve started cleaning things up.

Nightmare

The weather tomorrow should be a lot less gloomy at least.

Typical that Somerset are moving on in their game and like so many have said on here, the rain will maybe decide the title and it could be won by the side who get as much play in as possible. We actually have a good start here but have been stopped at a time in the season where years ago, this would be the last game of the season. Batting at this time is difficult so if you are bowling first and bowl a side out, you can bat and try and maybe not try and get a huge lead because of the time element but if you bat first, you are then in a situation as to either try and bat a side out of the game but leave yourselves with less time to bowl them out twice or pull out early to buy yourself a few overs. That is the stupidity of playing CC cricket right into the end of September.

Yep Somerset got 82 overs play in down at Taunton, almost a full day and they've gotten well on top already after winning the toss in favourable bowling conditions. We've grafted through one morning without the chance to cash in during the afternoon, now we cop for another tricky morning as Hampshire get another go in what will likely be the days best bowling conditions.
