Yes 400 would be nice and then we hope Hampshire have one of their awful batting days which in the CC, has happened quite a few times in the last 2 seasons. COYB

Would be nice to get there inside 110 overs!

I remember Chris Rushworth running through them at the Rose Bowl a few years ago, let’s hope Woakes can do something similar this time!

Conditions look poor again tomorrow morning so the ideal situation would be bat the rest of the day out and be all out or declare just before close so we can exploit those conditions tomorrow

Still 44 overs left today in theory so we might not get a choice in the matter!

The one end does look pretty bare, there's definitely something there for the spinner.

If there is turn there, I fancy our in form Indian spinner to get a few, wouldn't it be great if he could have a massive game where he is unplayable and 'fills his boots'.

Given it looks like both Somerset and Notts have a good chance of getting at least four batting points, we really need to try to push on to do the same.

Unfortunately Abbott is such a good bowler so its not going to happen.

Terrible decision on Woakes then.

I haven't seen a team drop this many catches in an innings for a long time

Was just coming into to say, they've been amazingly bad, 5 dropped catches this innings, 3 today.

Edit to say there may have been more, ive missed bits.

Didn't get that 4th BP then, seems from looking at the scoreboard it's another of those cases where it's hard to accelerate. Even so, seems like a good knock by Kai to accelerate towards it. Interesting to see how it goes from here, do they declare? Going over 400 should prevent us from losing this game. Declare as soon as that is done?

Great knock by Smith. Seems to always deliver, yet is not always in the team.

I'd declare now, but Bamber can be a thrilling watch.

398 all out. I'd have liked a few more but a very good effort after being shoved in.

As the commentators have said, Hampshire are in need of a win or two and maybe they might just try and set up something if the game drifts a bit tomorrow and be happy to chase some sort of target to try and get a win.

I made the point after the Somerset away match that Suthar’s release point means he gets quite a few dangerous looking plays and misses that aren’t that threatening from a wicket taking perspective. Already in the first over one has pitched middle but span far enough outside off stump that it beat the batter but doesn’t really threaten dismissal.

It's turning too much for Suthar to get any LBW. It'll either pitch outside leg or miss off stump

Brilliant plan to get out for less than 400, so we can get them in for a burst of wickets. Yessssssssssssss!
