What do I know! I will say that is poor batting, surely you get a big stride in rather than rock back

Well that was not a bad session!!! If they can get the final 4 wickets for nothing by noon I would say bat them out the game and declare by tea providing the weather is good for the two days.

I’d just stick them straight back in, especially if we’ve already got a lead of 250+. Don’t want to leave anything to chance with the weather, plus it might be better weather for bowling tomorrow too.

I would also stick them back in, IF we do get the last four wickets quickly then the bowlers won't have had many overs in their legs and presumably Suthar can hold an end for most the day.

Definitely enforce the follow on if able to do so.

Definitely enforce the follow-on, it’s a psychological advantage as much as anything which puts extra pressure on them.

My take on bat 'em out the game is so many times you see a good follow on score leaving the team batting fourth either having to save the game or not having enough time to score the runs needed.

Im not an automatic follow on guy but if we bowl them out for about a 220 lead then we should definitely put them back in. Hampshire top order so brittle.

If Hampshire are bowled out before lunch as I expect they will be, we will not have bowled that many overs so the bowlers will hardly be knackered. It's not just rain but bad light to take into account, bowl again and I would be surprised if they bat out the day with Suthar ready to twirl.

Forecast seems to suggest a delayed start today?
