That first wicket reminded me of the one on the final day against Somerset in 2021 when we won the title and he bowled Overton, albeit a left hander instead of right hander, just completely unplayable.

Again not our game, but looks interesting at Notts. After they so clinically declared on 450 and then put Leics in, they've had some remarkable resistance today from the nighwatchman, Hull, and former Bear Hamza. Looks like Notts not guaranteed to get the full set of bowling points now which could be very interesting if they draw and we win.
Pretty perfect win, that. Not allowing weather to be a factor with a ruthless bowling performance against a sorry, sorry batting lineup. Come on Leicestershire!

Leicestershire need 86 to avoid the follow on and if they do, it all depends on how many behind they finish (If indeed they do) and how many overs are left for Notts to force a win. Will Notts feel confident that they will set a total which isn't huge or will they eye up the 8 draw points, I think they won't want to lose 8 points and lose just to get 8 more for a win. Depending on how many wickets they get in the next 22 overs, Notts could be level with us if they draw.
Leicestershire lost a few late wickets so probably won't reach the follow on target now.
Fair weather tomorrow so will be a full day and decent batting weather but I've not watched any of the game so no idea what the wicket is like.
A good team victory, with Sam getting 90 on one leg and the overall performance of Kai amng the highlights.
Did anyone else notice that the team seemed happier, and with much more positive body language throughout the game.
Perhaps we have, finally, got our team selection right.

Profting, dare I say, from the use of the injury substitution rule which we're still yet to see Warwickshire need this season! In all fairness, picking Brett Hutton in September is screaming out for a muscle injury. If I were more sceptical, I'd suggest he were picked knowing there was an element of protection should he break down!

I guess that Warwickshire know that this rule makes it easier for them to pick Chris Woakes, despite his hernia issue.
But would the same thing apply if you go into a game with an injury?

I don't think that there is any reference to this in the regulations so I think the same rules would apply.
Its a great win really. Lost the toss and shoved in, to rack up runs early on in tough conditions twice due to rain is a huge show of character. The bowlers have been great but make no mistake this win was set up by Rob Yates and Dan Mousley, great batting. I love these sort of wins, runs on the board, catchers in, spinner on from one end seamers rotating from the other.
It wasn't that long ago Hampshire were doing this to us.
