191, we would have settled for that overnight but pity that Hain couldn't have got his 100. We really must ge4t early wickets as I doubt it will get any easier to bat on that pitch. It appears to be going well for us in the other 2 games so this is a game that if we win, could be the biggest boost going into the last games next week.

Right, 57 is a significant lead. 17 or whatever it was last night wouldn't have been. Other games are going well from our PoV. Notts finishing on 240 was quite significant I thought and if Yorks can finish off Soms that would be better still.

My only fear in t5he Somerset game is that Yorkshire go to pieces after what happened with Overton in the T20 game and I hope he doesn't take Somerset near the Yorkshire total and then Yorkshire collapse in a heap and hand the game to Somerset. There is bad weather forecast for Headingley so it could be a waiting game.

Well we built a lead but I still think we might have missed a trick not bowling with the new ball at 1030.

We are in a good spot here but it does look as though batting conditions are better everywhere this morning.

I would bring Suthar on early to see if he can get a breakthrough

In the last 45 minutes, all 3 games have really taken a turn for the worst, Somerset have got to within 58 of Yorkshire with 8 down still and Sussex are 54-2 and Essex have knocked off a good chunk of our lead.

Essex have really rode their luck v the new ball.

Somwrset always get good runs from their lower order.

I hope this isn't slipping away from us, Essex are playing plenty of shots as if they expect wickets could tumble at any time. If we lose this, our season is over.

Yorkshire should be demoted to National County status for this. Fuck sake.

I've got the feeling this is where Somerset get to put one hand on the title as they are virtually up to the Yorkshire total and I think Leach at one end will take wickets whilst the others chip away at the other. It has gone so badly for us this morning after being great at 11.15. How things change.

We've all seen enough cricket down the years to know things change very quickly and change back again...but I can see Yorkshire getting rolled for 130 here.

Us, feel like we need 4 wickets absolute bare minimum this session or we'll be behind in this game. We were unlucky before lunch to be fair.

The important thing for our side to remember is that we have lots of time left in the game and not to press too hard and become tense in our performance. If they just concentrate on bowling and fielding normally, to the best of thier ability the wickets will fall.

Can't argue with that.

This Essex old boy still unlistenable.

The cricket is spoiling his constant monologue!

Looks as though Yorkshire are doing their best to prove us right, 5-2. Met office says rain mid-afternoon there and not looking good tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
