Absolutely superb result.
What this match has highlighted to me is that above all else I really enjoy that the people that contribute to this forum are people that have some humility, perspective, and enjoy polite, reasoned discussion about cricket.
Whereas I hope the naysayers and doom mongers on the Facebook posts that the club put up are now just as willing to eat their words and be as positive about the team when they do well, as they are negative when it’s not so great.

Massive, massive win in terms of the development of this young side.

What a game !!

Massive credit to Notts and Broad in particular.

Having Broad playing and showing his desire and class can only be a good thing for the youngsters in both sides.

I wonder whether Dom would have batted if it had come to that.

Hopefully the "breakthrough" win our young squad needed to move forwards and become a fully competitive team for the rest of the championship season.

As others have said, great contributions from Hain, Lamb, Rhodes, Bresnan Briggs and Stone.
Hopefully the side will take confidence from the win and use the knowledge of how to win into the remaining games. The top 2 finish in the group is still possible.

It's not a bad day when both Warwickshire & Birmingham City have important wins.

And apart from anything else, what a great advert for four day cricket. I hope that lots of people watched it on the live feed.

There were over 1100 watching the direct youtube feed for much of Saturday, and about 100 for most of thrusday and Friday.
sadly, the decison to stop using the "live feeds' audio links has made listening to the audio coverage while out and about a bit harder.

What a tremendous win! I was playing cricket today in an area with poor mobile signal so only had occasional updates, but I did manage to watch the stream right at the end. So nice to be on the right end of a result like this for a change, and to keep Notts waiting for their next first class win!

If you didn't see it at the time, it's worth taking a look at Stuart Broad's spell on the final day when he gave Sam Hain a real going over. Credit to Broad for giving his all for his county; and credit to Sam and to Matt Lamb for surviving:
