Paul Farbrace has ended up at Sussex as head coach. I guess that was the type of move he was looking for. Good luck to him.

He wanted a more "hands on" role, plus it's closer to his family, seems like an ideal move for him.

We just need a good, and visionary, director of cricket and changes to some of the coaches.

A new first team head coach and bowling coaches for both 1st and 2nd teams are needed.

I agree that this looks like an ideal role for Farbrace. His son-in-law, Ollie Robinson, is also at Hove.
As for the Director of Cricket role, The Cricketer reports that Ashley Giles was in line for the job at Worcestershire but turned it down - possibly with something better in mind?

Son in law? I thought it was stepson.

Just seen we have a new 1st team bowling coach, Stuart Barnes.
Having read the clubs release, it seems he has a very good background with over 20 years coaching experience, from young players upto international level.

Hopefully a good signing.

Interesting to see people reported Farbrace didn’t apply for it though.
The concern for me is, does he try take a few players with him. We have a few going into the last year of their contract. I’ve already seen on some Sussex accounts fans rumouring he’s going to try get Burgess to go back, and apparently Ed Pollock too.
